Hard to grow priests if children don’t grow up in church, which means they will be kids! Fr John at St Matthew’s Catholic Community in Durham, NC, has children join the entrance and exit processions, to carry things like the Bible, the baby Jesus for the cradle during Christmas season, paper candles etc. These children are practicing the reverence of mass and learning the gift of grace and joy of being with Jesus. Most are too young to receive his body yet, but they feel the honor of serving and giving glory to God. It seems Catholic Churches everywhere would see a beautiful change and growth of children’s spiritual lives by inviting young kids to participate in the Mass on a regular basis. For those who wonder how this works, the Christmas season video recordings on UA-cam might be best ones to watch. Titled “St Matthew Weekend Mass” found by date. That last comment from Fr Joe to Fr Mike about God giving Fr Mike a beautiful gift and because of that he's bringing so many people back into the faith is so true. I'm 61 and the reason I'm back with Jesus is because of Fr Mike. This was a gift to watch. I remember Sister Joseph Andrew from many years ago when I was able to attend their married women's retreat. Such a gift! Now that I am home-bound, and still raising a bunch of kids, hearing her again hits differently. On the one hand, it brings my disability into sharper focus, but she also inspired me to live to the glory of God as I am. Thank you, Sister, and thank you Fr. Joe.

Last couple days I’ve been watching vids of the southerners having the best time in the snow. Its warmed my heart. Its those moments that i wonder if GOD is looking and i ask him if he’s enjoying it too or is he too busy. It’s wonderful to watch him work through others by the holy spirit to answer such questions.
