I don't expect this to make sense as a story to anyone. The brief of it is that our hero and main protagonist, Ana, meets a lot of odd folks on her journey to kill a villain, as the prophecy foretold. It's difficult when the villain was your best friend growing up. But if you knew it was always going to come to this, why is it so hard? song: perfume - lovejoy

Aarakocra (the bird people) usually only live up 30 years, if they're lucky. They reach adulthood when they're three years old, but that still doesn't give them a lot of time. Before you know it, your feathered best friend will reach their senior years, meanwhile you've got 50 years ahead without them.
