Doc Hudson's clinic being renovated into a memorial museum is a nice tribute to the character and voice actor Paul Newman and everything, but I can't help but wonder whatever happened to the Glen Rio Motel that got renovated into a racing museum that had it's own section of the museum dedicated to Hudson's racing career during the credits of the first movie. In-fact, whatever happened to that supposed Lightning McQueen racing headquarters that was said in the movie to be planned and subsequently seen under construction and completed in Mater National? Neither of these locations are ever brought up in the series ever again. It'd probably be safe to assume lazy writing is at fault, considering how terrible the writing of Cars 2 is as a whole. That movie just should've never been made. Completely threw a wrench into the lore already established in the first movie and expanded upon in the THQ video games. It seems they realized this by the time they got around to Cars 3 and tried to correct it by completely disregarding that the second movie ever happened, but the damage is already done.
