They played this at Blue Ridge this year and it was amazing! Their whole set was pretty good and I'm glad I got to see them 🥰🥰🥰

HOB Chicago has one of the smallest pit areas in the city. Still not sure why they booked the gig here. That being said, the place got pretty rowdy (Nico and Kevin had to talk to the crowd in between a couple of songs)

Agreed. Plus I had to give up my spot on the rail. Still a cool experience though.

btw can you imagine ive seen these guys in 2010 or 2011 in a little town festival with at most 20 ppls watching haha moers festival forever

I've been watching other shows on the US tour so far and Chicago for whatever reason got the smallest venue but also the rowdiest. LOTS of energy in there. Enjoy your show!

25 here. They really know how to write a killer tune. It doesn't have to be Heavy, it's just really fucking good. Ghost reminds me of The Beatles in their songwriting ability. Their music is just so well crafted, and beautiful. It's impossible to get it out of your head. It's like the Plague Haha

Maybe you saw my son He was dressed as Papa III. He went with his lovely wife Mother Superior. They were seated in the third row down stairs. They said it was an amazing, euphoric and touching experience. Sounds orgasmic to me. Great dedication to Jeffery Fortune. If you have Ghost you have everything.

It was quite the event. A bit somber to start but Ghost did a great job remembering Mr. Fortune and the crowd responded really well.

I could only imagine. I heard Tobias was in tears on some songs. That would be horrible to experience. He's a good dude for sure. I respect the fuck out of him and the band. I love this band

I live in Milwaukee and I've been to soooo many shows by myself including Disturbed in Kyiv Ukraine June 2019 and Lindemann for New Years 2020 (🤔 I think) in Mexico City, and many more in the US. I will tell you, even tho you go there alone, every show immediately makes you feel like you're a part of a family. I didn't even speak Spanish or Ukrainian at those 2 shows and still, everyone sang and danced and jammed together. We were all there for the same thing, there was absolutely no feeling of 'being by yourself' Just a little food for thought 😉🤟

Sort of - tickets were not sold, they were only made available to the people who were in attendance back in May. I was pretty traumatized by seeing Mr. Fortune pass but decided to go to support the family as the band sold exclusive shirts and posters to benefit his family. I would say the theater was about 95% full so most everyone came back or gave their ticket to someone who could go. Cardinal Copia addressed the crowd a couple of times and Mr. Fortune's family was in attendance as well. All in all a classy gesture by the band and it felt like a fitting celebration for a departed fan.

@@matthewswanson8247 enjoy seeing them again! It's just them so they are playing quite a full set...something like 20-21 songs. I grabbed the memorial shirt after waiting an hour in the merch line...they sold out completely, which is great for the family but now asshats are trying to put them on eBay for hundreds and turn a profit off of a tragedy.

It was a very memorable and heartfelt experience. Seeing Mr. Fortune pass at the show was pretty traumatic, so to have Ghost come back and dedicate the show to him, his family, and the fans in attendance was a special evening. They even sold special t-shirts and posters with the Cardinal and Mr. Fortune on them to raise money for his family. I hope you and your son enjoy the show - they are an incredible live band!

+Mark Spurlock Yeah Nightwish was headliner and all but by my count they played 15/16 songs to Sonata's 7. Could've used a couple more from Sonata, but they played really well. Also, Tony is a known gabber so they probably could've done another song instead of rambling to the crowd all night (which admittedly was fun).

I love Tony's banter, the dude's a nut. lol
