    How about setting up a transit between the 2 corner posts and sighting in on one of them, then rotate the transit 180 degrees and looking through the transit to see how far off you are from the opposite post. Move the transit in the appropriate direction and repeat till they both line up with each other after rotating 180 degrees. Getting ready to build a fence with 600' spans and thinking of different ways it can be done...

    • @WaltersFencing
      @WaltersFencing 10 місяців тому

      Not normally. The inside of the driver dolly is designed to form the top of the post inwards under hard driving conditions which means the cap actually sits on the post more easily. Normally the depth of the cap will cover the deformation of the top of the post which means there is no need to trim the tops.

    • @WaltersFencing
      @WaltersFencing Рік тому

      Hi John. Thanks for commenting. The top and bottom of the Waratah rabbit netting, that we use, has 2 x 1.4mm wires that the netting pattern starts and stops on. This means that the only part of the netting you can pull without stretching the diamonds is the top and bottom wires. We don't strain the netting too tight, but just enough to take the belly (slack) out. Straining boards would work just as well, but are slower to attach and easier to overstrain. Cheers Steve
