We had a Big #4 back in my youth, did a lot of cutting with it. The best of the ground driven mowers. The Amish still run them.
@frankwurth5375 we don't have hay ground anymore. I miss using it. I did hook it to the B a couple of months ago and knocked the tops off of some weeds east of the house.
Well done with the forks.
@@mariojsworld thank you! They've been pretty handy what little I've used them. Happy Trails!
I wish I’d have paid more attention to the maintenance side of things when I was younger. Hope y’all are doing well Doc and that you have a blessed day my friend.
There was a dude that had one mounted on a truck frame. He pulled it behind his semi trailer and would go around and scoop up guys cob piles from shelling. Dads cousin has a f25 which had bucket tilt cylinders. His is on a 4010 with a spring ride truck front end. Hed sweep hay in 7th and 7th reverse.
@@AgWildNebraska I've seen a few on truck frames that were reversed, used for sweeping and stacking hay.
@@martinbenton742 I'd like to have an F10 or f25 just for the heck of it. Probably try and teach myself how to stack.
I've seen those loaders on the old johnny poppers, up to 4010.. there's actually a 4010 for sale in eastern Oregon with an F10 on it. They were popular for piling loose hay back in the day, then for round bales and big bales. Longer video than you expected 🤣😂 it's really easy to run long!! Thank you for the education and the history Doc!
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin they used the heck out of those loaders. Stacking hay, loading manure, scooping grain and snow, and I've seen a couple with push blades. Don't know if the blades were factory. Dang narrow front tractors and going that high would scare the banana butter out of me!
Howdy Doc! Hey Cornbread!!
Nice!👍 One man's pile of scrap is another mans pallet fork! Tell Penn she did good camera work!👌
@shaneholst6940 definitely! I bought a flow valve to put in the hose. Hopefully that stops the dropping suddenly. Penn said she tried. 😆 Matthew landed in Las Vegas this morning. He's going to spend time with his friends, and I hope not much $$. Talk to you later. Oh! .y favorite T shirt is getting worn. 😆
Works great Doc!! 👍😎
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Yes, not too bad. Brett thinks a flow restrictor would help me out. Tomorrow I'll try to find one and put it in. I don't like that dropping fast. Thank you Ed!!
Nice job with the forks Doc and hope you have a blessed weekend my friend.
@RandWFarmstead-TonyWalsh thank you Tony. A family member has been having some health issues so I'm staying close to home this weekend. We've been praying for my sister in Florida and those were definitely answered! She has some damage but is safe. Thank you very much, once again!!
It works good doc. How about putting a little flow restrictor in the line? I don't know what you really call it. I got one on the auger of the grain cart right on the end of the hose. It looks like swivel but it has a tiny little pinhole in the middle. I had new hoses put on that cylinder and forgot to put that restrictor on and it would go up fine but come down with a bang so I had to go find that restrictor and put back on there.
I'm not sure what I need in there. It is gravity down...when there is alot of weight, getting it to release is a pain. I may have to find a flow restrictor. That would slow it raising also then too.
We have a rake that has a restrictor in it that works one way for the wheels. Restricts it when you raise the wheels and then does it when you lower it. Those are one way cylinders that raise the wheels.
@@AgWildNebraska I'll have to find one and put it in. If it raises slower, I guess that won't hurt.
@@martinbenton742a washer in the fitting works good.. just make sure it is tight in the female end, once the male end is in, it can't go anywhere.. might take some playing around with size tor the flow..
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin I may try that if I can't find one at fleet farm tomorrow.
Nice 👍
Looks good Doc!!!👍😎
Looks great Doc! I'm short so I have to stand right in front!🤣😂
@shaneholst6940 ha ha ha! That's OK. Wade and Ed will make room. It's just bubble gummed together right now. I don't know when I'll get back to it. I maybe at that funeral out west next weekend.
@@martinbenton742 👍🤣😂
Hey Doc, I was trying to stand off to the side a bit so the others could see!! 🤣🤣🤣 You’re always on point with the whole situation, I hate it too when the cylinder doesn’t retract all the way in!! You will get it sorted out and working! Hope you had a good weekend, happy trails Doc!! 🥃
@wademcwhirter5158 ha ha ha! I thought you'd get a kick outta that. It's been a few years since I used that cylinder. I thought it retracted all the way. I'll just move the connection point and that should take care of it. We'll see. Thank you Wade!!!
Looks good. I have a Lincoln that I just can't weld with. It's hard to strike an arc. The rod always sticks. I go use Dad's Lincoln. Same thing but works. got my scrap grinder mixer escape ladder mounted.
Looks like it's coming together nice!!👌 glad you are feeling better!!🙏
@@shaneholst6940 I've got some bracing and welding to do yet, but I'm getting there. It's going to be a rush job with work and helping mom and dad.

@@shaneholst6940 I don't know about good, but it's going. Lol
That looks pretty good for something that is made from a bunch of scrap! You will find so many uses for it when it’s done! Can’t wait for the next instalment!! Happy Trails Doc!! 👍👍
@wademcwhirter5158 thank you! It definitely will be handy moving the IBC tote with firewood in in. One thing for sure, it's heavy enough, no one will run off with it. Lol Thank you Wade!
Looks good.
It's getting there. I forgot to add part 1 in the title.
I saw somebody once stacked a couple of those totes and made a shower out of it. They like to make little hay feeders out of them for goats. I just like to put my old oil in them. A little wood shack is a good idea.
@AgWildNebraska I've seen the shower stalls, outhouses and many other things made out of them. They are pretty handy. I don't have much used oil to fill one. Lol
S*** I watched this the other night and I forgot to comment on it
@@AgWildNebraska that ok. The white vinegar did a pretty good job. I poured about a half quart of varnished gas in and shook it to prevent flash rust.
@@martinbenton742 I know I even looked up trying to find a gas cap for you and I don't remember what else I was doing but I got sidetracked.
Hey Doc, always a good time when you post something on what you are doing! We have all gone through the rough patches of which bills have priority over others!! Hopefully your back heals and you can get back to normal! The hats will be nice when you can afford them! Happy trails for now Doc!!

@@Murphyslawfarm G’day Murphy! Really miss seeing your updates from down under!! Thinking of you whenever I watch Ed’s channel, take care my friend!👍👍👍👍👍
You definitely got more than enough water!! I used to know my weeds and grasses. Anymore, i know about 10% of them.. the 10% we have to deal with all the time.. Like Agwild said, plenty of time to get the bobcat going, won't be any snow....lol...
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin the snow doesn't bother much. Last winter was just dang tough on us with everything that happened. It almost seemed endless. This winter will be better I'm sure.
G'day buddy
I'd say you're pretty handy with air conditioners. I was waiting for you to say that the unit was junk from the factory and then you'd have to deal with them guys getting you another one. It's not going to snow this winter so no rush with that bobcat lol.
@AgWildNebraska I'm hoping this winter goes smoother for us. 😆 I've got smoke alarms and fire extinguishers in the house. 😆
@AgWildNebraska they aren't very difficult. (AC). A furnace isn't hard to understand either. 7-10k for an AC unit up and running is ridiculous. You can buy and install them yourself and have someone come check it over and start up, if you want. Saves alot of cash.
That other weed there is mullein. I have some in the pasture. Very furry stuff. Seeds can lay viable for 70+ years.
@AgWildNebraska I'm sure I seen it before. Just not around here. I figured you would know what it was. I used to know some weeds and many grasses. I can't remember squat anymore.
@@martinbenton742 Well I bet you had it on the ranch. I see a lot of it out there
You can smoke it if you want. I think the Indians made a tea out of it. Supposed to be some type of medicinal value to it.
Wow I'm late to the party?😂🤦🏻♂️ That's a pretty flower? We have them here also ! What a change from last year!! Spit dust for a couple of years and now Mudd!
@shaneholst6940 I need to do an update vid. I'm way behind. Update video and assemble that variable speed drive for the bobcat.

Do you still have the engine manual for that welder?
@@TimmieRockovich I don't. I should say dad doesn't. It was his.
We used an oak 4x4 as a tung with steel plates on top and on the bottom to allow us to use hitch pins on our rake and manure spreader, both with steel wheels.
@scrambler69-xk3kv there was a wood 4x6 for a tongue on this. It rotted and broke. So far, this 3 inch channel is working but I'd like to go back to wood.
Glad you didn’t get flooded out, and there are only a handful of people left that will show up on time or at least call if they aren’t going to be there!! Hopefully you find someone to put in your AC!! Happy trails Doc!! 👍🍺👍
I'm going to put it in myself. I'm not paying $5k, for someone to do what I've done a dozen times. I've put 4 in just on our block. 😆
Started taking equipment [dozers excavators packers]into mc cook lake today the pictures on the news doesn't do it justice it looks bad in there. But it will get fixed
It's really sad what happened there. Pictures and video never shows the total view. I know your company will do a great job. Thank you watching and commenting Brian. I thought you got lost. 😆
We were in Sioux City on Father's Day and drove up i29 and I couldn't believe the amount of thistles. From highway 20 all the way up to wherever we got off to go to Ace hardware it was thistles and hemlock. I'm thinking we drove by the Floyd monument. Anyway, I can't believe that they can get away with not taking care of something like that. If that was my ground. I'd have had several nasty letters by now. Oh yeah, we stopped at the Texas Roadhouse and guess what's grown in the parking lot fence. A whole Rose garden
Yep. It's OK for them but they need to control you and everything you do.
Glad the river has started to recede & didn't get to your or your Mom's house. Shame to hear about the A/C being a no show. There's one of those carriers in my area, needless to say, I've not been very impressed with them either. Take care Doc.
I finally got ahold of them tonight. I blew a gasket over the phone. It's been in Omaha since yesterday and they didn't bother to call, text, or anything. Now they said it will be here between 1 and 5pm Friday. I would have drove to Omaha and picked it up!
G'day Doc
Mother nature can be distructive ... It's amazing how people don't know history.. and if it's flooded once, it can do it again! In '96, I spent a week driving the brush rig ('52 duce and a half) into flooded areas to help people. After the water went down, I spent 12 hours every night, driving dump truck for 6 weeks. Fixing hwy 6 over the coast range. It's the main truck route between Portland and the coast. Runs from Banks to Tillamook. Stay safe Doc!! And hopefully you get the AC soon!! I agree, so many carriers are 🤬 lazy A-holes!!
I had the river catch my belly dump trailer and pulled it into the river. I had the truck door open, ready to jump. I mashed the gas in hopes of pulling the trailer back onto the dyke. It seemed like it took forever but finally caught and came out. The owner of the truck was watching and told me I should have baled out. He still has that 97 Pete.
@@martinbenton742 got lucky!! Could have been a really bad deal
G'day buddy. So true I lived in towns that flood bad and they still build homes in flood plans
@@Murphyslawfarm g'day mate. crazy.. they just rebuild and it happens again...
@Murphyslawfarm it's crazy! Our place was flood zone until just after the flood of 1952. Then they channeled the river to ward off flooding. In our area.
Well that RV thing works pretty good. I was thinking maybe you'd have to use a reefer and back it up to the door. that'd probably worked pretty good too... Probably so good you could hang meat and your living room.
I've slept in my refer years ago. Once down on the gulf my truck ac quit. I spent $3 on a lawn chair and slept in the trailer with the unit on. This temporary unit keeps it tolerable.
14 minutes man this is crap. Lol. Didn't know you had one up before I had to watch that one.
No big deal. When ever you have time. Thank you for watching !
Yeah that's a lot of water! I can imagine how much stuff is going to come down the river!! That Red Neck ac is awesome 😎👍😂🤣 Thanks for sharing Doc happy trails!
I think all of the propane tank are being washed out of the woods from the meth cookers. Hundreds of them floating down. One dumb bastard tried to ride a log down the river. Had to be rescued and arrested. 😆
@@martinbenton742 good lord!!🤦🏻♂️ Takes all kinds to make the world go round!😂🤣😂
Doc you should see all the dumb s--ts sitting on the berms in the dunes watching the water flow by. Was tracking a dozer out from right by the I29 and had to stop so they could move. All our side dumps have been running up north and to the Alvord derailment mess. Long hours should be really getting hit hard with all the overtime for taxes. At least old sleepy joe can get his money for the welfare mommy's 😢.
Good evening Doc. Hell of a lot of water!! We've had some good floods here, '96 and '07.. both "500 year floods". Both made it kinda hard to get to town, or anywhere else!! Sorry to hear about your friend!! Never easy!!! 😢❤️🙏🙏 You sent me a picture of the AC, whatever works 👍😁 Take care, stay safe and keep your feet dry!!
It seems like every flood here, is a record breaking flood, (according to the news people). I believe it is click bait. Yes, it's a bad flood but not a record breaker.
@@martinbenton742 news drama.. none of them are old enough to remember the bad flood 10 years ago, yet alone 30 or 100 years ago.. and they don't know any history.
Hello Doc, good to see you again. Thats pretty smart thinking by rigging up the camper AC and I’m sorry about the loss of your friend. Take care and hope to see you again soon.
The AC unit came from an old RV mom had. It just dawned on me how to set it up. The compressor didn't freeze like I said, the evap froze. Julie was a fantastic lady. We shared the same birthday and she made birthday cakes for Matthew and I both. It was a blow to learn of her passing. Thank you for stopping in!

Howdy Murphy!
I do believe you are right, some idiot lost the roll pin and you found it. If all you need is O rings, you should be able to get them at auto parts, or like you said, hydraulic shop. And get the AC working!!
The AC is going to be the next big project. It's been a few years but I'm confident I can still handle it. Bobcat has the O ring kit for 50 bux so that isn't bad.
