Drove it yesterday. Very nice except for one thing - it is really noisy. So much so that it's a deal breaker.

Sounds like a secret Tacoma fanboy put this together, the way he talks about how good the Tacoma is in reliability. Let’s see, massive problems with the Tacoma transmission, and a very public failure of the front differential in a UA-cam analysis. Seats in front still haven’t gotten it right, and the backseat is meant for Lilliputians. I really wanted to get the new Tacoma, but am glad I learned enough to go for the Ranger with the 2.7 ltr. Better payload, towing, ride. Is the Ranger perfect? No. But neither is the Tacoma.

I test drove this thing in Ireland. Shocked at how noisy & cheap feeling. Bought the much better quality RAV4.

My 2022 Highlander is a bit underpowered and damn noisy but with decent fuel economy and cost me 54,000 Canadian. All in all I would give it a 9/10. Few more horses and a quiet ride and it would be damn near perfect.

My ranger is excellent and swapped out a Toyota 4wd with 25 Ks. Just finished a 7 K trip transmission is excellent. It is a great Ford. This is a biased report. .

We have a 2019 Ridgeline and love it. It has a comfortable ride, fits in our garage and towers our small travel trailer very well. I would not even look at a turbo vehicle.

OMG! I better buy a Nissan or Ford or Chevy or Chrysler? Not in a million years! Toyota all the way! Toyota backs up there vehicles the way no other manufacturer does. Even if there are some pitfalls?

Ford is setting a very bad precedent. They have faulty products where parts haven’t been available. IE; Open recall over a year old 23S65 and the part still not available. (Bad) Rear axle hub bolts shearing off causing free willing. These Ford high dollar powerboost space shuttles are having to set waiting. Can’t sell due to open recalls. 10 speed automatic transmission are failing on these trucks. Turbo chargers failing. Electrical issues and lack of parts. Battery issues. These vehicles are great when they work but when they don’t can be a nightmare. Ford can’t seem to get their act together on vehicles already in consumers hands so building more sounds quite presumptuous of Ford. I was a Ford customer and still am at this moment but have learned a valuable lesson. Yes I own this powerboost but not for long.

Fuel efficiency and price keep from buying. Honda should develop a more economical vehicle with a lower entry level price. In my opinion, the off road capability is over exaggerated and is only aimed at a small group of truck buyers.

I love my Ridgeline. I go to Home Depot . I am not going off roading. I load drywall. Not off roading toys. I hate paying for oversized pick up trucks. I cannot even fit a new Chevy pick up into my garage. It’s too big. So the ridgeline IS a truck. A perfect truck for me. A carpenter.

Great vehicle! But pricey! Period. Could be perfect if: Bed side boxes, 3” wider, 2” more ground clearance, 7,500lb towing…. Tow hooks…. 3” longer for back seat!! I sat in one! Very nice very quality.

Unless they drop the price by $20-$30,000 a lot of people are not going to buy them they are just out of the price range of most of the people that would buy them. They’re gonna have the same problem they did with the 22 and 23 and Are going to be a lot of them sitting at the dealers in the parking lot. And as somebody else stated nobody wants an electric Jeep.

I think many full size trucks are purchased for the macho status. The buyer of the Ridgeline is not concerned with the need for the macho status. I have owned and enjoyed Ridgeline for several years and have no need or desire to return to a full size truck. The Ridgeline is definitely not suited as a substitute for a commercial work truck but works for many individual or family needs.

I believe people don’t realize, just how poor a 4 cylinder, turbo charged engines are. They might be better on fuel use, but they fail in long term performance issues. I’m not buying Toyota. 😖

The only points I'll give you for this video are these. The Engine is old school. The V6 is great , but outdated. Honda would rather keep its reliability, than risk the trend of Hyper pressure Turbocharged 4 bangers that have shorter expectancies. But Honda Does need to move on and at the very least option a Larger 4 Cyl, Hybrid NON TURBO Engine to give the Ridgeline low end torque, from the Hybrid addition , and greatly increase the Fuel Economy with downsizing to a 4 cyl that is aided by a well designed Hybrid system. Well Designed, as in NOT like Toyota just did it with the "Hybrid MAX" engines which only get 24 MPG because they Just used the Hybrid to give Tacoma Torque and Power, but No Fuel Economy. With Selectable "modes" in vehicles today BOTH could have easily been achieved. The Size and unique features of Ridgeline stand out today, with the bed being more usable than Ranger or Tacoma, the In Bed Trunk and smaller Wheel Well humps are far better designs. No truck should have to prop up a 4X8 sheet on some weird angles to get it home. Ridgeline it can lay flat. As to the Car Like Ride and nicer interior, especially better than the plastic Maverick, those are huge bonuses , as 90% or more of even full size truck buyers these days rarely ever do more than commute or haul bags of mulch in their trophy trucks. A well appointed Midsize Truck is Very appealing , especially one that rivals todays Nicer SUV interiors and Ride Quality. To the Towing capacity of 5000 lbs and payload...This is a MIDSIZE truck not a F-150, or Dodge Ram, Midsize trucks are perfectly fine at the 5000 lbs, the only reason Ford Ranger and Chevy ect. tow more, is they engineer those numbers to outpace each other every year for mostly bragging rights, just like the ever increasing Horsepower ratings. You want to tow a 9000 Lb trailer, go buy a full size truck ! Really the only things keeping ME from going out and buying a Honda Ridgeline right now is I Want a Hybrid 4 Cyl option, (after driving my current Hybrid SUV, I WILL NOT go back to a plain old ICE engine alone, and will Not transition into a EV) Honda needs to get their price DOWN about 5K. If this next model were a 2.5L 4 Cyl Hybrid that got 32+ MPG combined, and was set at a price point of Black Edition for 46K , all other figures being the same, I would have one in my Garage so fast Honda wouldn't know what hit them, and I'll wager their sales would outpace the Ranger, and Tacoma. I'm hoping SOMEONE at Honda reads this ! Fingers Crossed !

I have owned a Ridgeline for 10 years and it is stellar. And you are incorrect regarding the frame. The Ridgeline is a unibody mounted on a traditional frame. Always has been and still is.

It’s way too expensive and nobody wants to push a button to put your “truck” in gear.

Use to be an amazing truck. But went Mexico and became junk

Big price increases and less quality. Easily a hard pass. Would rather by 2 or 3 year old model.

The problem is people want more toys and goodies like wireless 5g and all the other bells and whistles and more payload and towing get a bigger truck

Ridgeline, Santa Cruz, and Maverick are all unibodies vehicles. Not trucks. So they are great if you have a lot of luggage or groceries.
