Sorry for the late response...yes you can use on 2 position switch When assigned to a two-position switch, the Reflex® system switches between stabilized and optimized modes.

@ another thing I like to do is add a small dab of contact cement (glue that’s usually provided with these jets) on the e-clips that secure the strut joints. I learned this from rcinformer. Peace of mind.

Thanks for watching..the esc out of the box is good for 6 or 8s, it's a 120 amp eac. So would just have to change out the power system

I have the same for my FMS Viper 90m , but when I use the 8S setup with 6s LIPO it is a bit weak specially for taking off on a grass field it takes the whole runway to take off!

​@vincentcimino1963 actually all you need is the AR410. This plane doesn't have flaps, so you don't need the ar620.

Gregory, i appreciate your comment. Yes your right, ide just fly it on 6s with the 6s system out of the box. But it's just a matter of opinion I guess. On the 8s system I tried taxi with 6s and it was weak and they don't recommend flying 6s on the 8s system, so youde have to keep swapping out the power system to fly on 6 or 8s. Ide just fly it on 6s out of the box. Thanks for commenting and for watching!

@@starsandstripesrc8475 Thanks for answering my question. Yeah, I crunched the numbers and an 8s 1500kV motor on 8s only develops about 3% more rpm than the stock 6s 1950 kV motor on 6s does. I doubt that 3% more rpm would offset the greater weight of the 8s packs vs a 6s pack of similar mAh capacity. That's what I love about math......the numbers never lie! Thanks again for the response.

Any time! I think the real advantage of the Avanti platform vs a speed demon like the Freewing Zeus is the overall flight envelope. Although the Zeus on 8s is faster, the Avanti is the whole package. No sport jet I've ever flown, including the Viper flies quite like an Avanti in any size. Keep up the good work!

@gregoryblackwell235 I agree with you on that. The Avanti is awsome even in the 70mm. Kind of like the 80 futura in a way. Such nice flyers

Hey, first thanks for watching, and your support on my channel. I would go for the super cub personally over the Ranger, but the Ranger is a great plane to progress into. The 1300mm Super Cub is a bit bigger and has a bit more power. If your used to the little p51, and your wanting more power or versatility, may consider the low wing Pilatus, it's a very nice plane, but yes, if your wanting a high wing plane, the super cub would be a great choice. Or even the king fisher, all great high wing planes

Never nervous on a maiden

No I don't do any mods on my gear, I haven't ran across any, including this one that really needs it. The lipo brand I mention is a sponsor for me, thier brand is all I fly, unless some other brand contacts me, I may consider but RCB is an awsome brand and quality lipo. Thanks for watching

No elevator mix needed on mine. POS 0 -100% POS 1 -43% POS 2 8% I slowed them down to 2 sec.

Thanks! And thanks for watching. The reverse thrust is a yellow wire that is on each of the esc receiver leads, I just used a y connector and it plugs into any open channel on the receiver, then assign that channel to a switch on the radio.

It was on this one. I was surprised it had it, just have to use a y harness for the leads for it. Have one coming in from each wing or each esc

Yeah there's not much difference in 6 and 8s adding the extra weight to add 2 4s adds weight to the plane. 10s would be the difference if could fly on 10s. But I'll change mine back to 6s, I'm thinking

What happened is the first time I plugged it in, I moved the plane so the reflex didn't initiate, I don't use the modes for it just the gyro. As to 4s, the esc and motor isn't enough to handle 4s, I suppose you could always change the esc and motor for 4s, but it's generally for the beginner as a light trainer

No sir, I don't use as3x, or fms's reflex v3, I have a couple of fms's planes that have their reflex in them, and have kept them in them for the gyro, but most of their planes don't come with the reflex anymore. Now you could add as3x spectrum receiver and program the as3x, or add the fms reflex if you wanted to. Thanks for watching!
