Thank you for this. I am not sure about Anderson though. We have two comeback narratives and one of them is stronger. Torres and MJB have support behind them I believe one of them will be in . No sure about Qualley either. She should have got at least one industry nomination. I think big names like Benning and Streep are supporting Gomez as they were doing Q&A's with her.

I’ll give my prediction after I see The Brutalist which reaches the UK on 27th January. My favourite film so far has been Conclave (best film and best actor). I also enjoyed Anora (best actress) and Emilia Perez (best foreign film).

I watched Maria twice back to back yesterday and again for the third time this morning. Jolie's performance was absolutely extraordinary! I dare to say that this film showcases her greatest work to date! No other actress in contention for an Academy Award nomination in the lead actress category comes close to the brilliance of Jolie's flawless performance! 💯🎭🏆

Sing Sing is the BEST MOVIE of the year and deserves nominations in most categories. The movie was shot on 16 mm film, in 19 days, with a very small crew. The DP, Pat Scola should be nominated for an Oscar for cinematography because the visual look, the lighting, the film choice, all created the naturalistic atmosphere to tell the story. Accompanied with Bryce Dessner's score that sells the beautiful scenes and intimate facial expressions. And kudos to the director, Greg Kwedar, who allowed dialogue to be ad-libbed at times, which created the emotional essence throughout the film that tugs at your heart. The cast deserves best ensemble because 90% of the cast are the formerly incarcerated men that participated in the RTA theater program while in Sing Sing and that authenticity shines. And what can you say about Coleman Domingo.... he deserves the Oscar this year, his performance is perfectly understated, and he allows the other men to shine because this is their story. Well Done!! Also, Clarence Maclin and Paul Raci both deserve best supporting nominations. Their performances tie the strings that pull the film to its brilliance. Best movie overall in a very long time and well worth the emotional journey.

Wicked is this year’s safe option. Huge box office numbers, great audience reception and high critical praise. It’s definitely getting lots of nominations but there are enough great films this year that let’s say if Wicked was get 10 Oscar nods, it could still win like 4 or 5. Zoe Saldana for supporting actress. Her performance in EP was on another level I didn’t know she had that within her.

I believe Cynthia erivo is a surefire ber for winning the bafta. She's from the United Kingdom and she's British anyway. So international voters already get a kick out of that. In general, she was a surefire bet after the film received about 20 standing ovations alone, the best Oscar turnout for a film ever.
