Girl, I have always felt the same way about embracing it. Heck no, acne is an imbalance and not a natural part of me. It’s a terribly stubborn condition. I’ve tried it all and my diet was pristine and my acne only got slightly better. I think it’s still worth eating clean and taking all the anti acne supplements but accutane seems to be what finally wins the war on acne.

I really thought people were being dramatic when they talked about how dry their lips get. I thought to myself, “There’s no way these people are properly moisturizing themselves”. I have used lip masks every night for over 3 years. My lips have always been my most complimented physical feature. But…my God…I am dryer than the Sahara desert. My lips are so dry I’m scared they won’t ever go back to normal again. Month 2 of 6 on Accutane. I’ve never wanted time to move as quickly as I do now.

Started 40mg a month ago. The purge was not horrible but emotionally very difficult to deal with. Dry skin and lips are manageable. My skin is starting to look great. My hair is almost never greasy. Otherwise no other side effect. Tomorrow i have my first blood test so i hope everything would be fine. Remind me to update you guys in a month if you are interested
