Iran has a generally little known high culture and is largely ignored by tourists. During our 12-day trip, we got to know a country that has a lot of sights, is very inviting in everyday life and with the everyday hospitality its people reveals a real treasure. In order to get a visa, you have to be invited. It is worth taking these formal requirements into consideration and visiting the country. (Background music by Dag Reinbott / www.terrasound.de)
Iran 2017 Part 1 In the north with the ancient Great Wall
This 12-day trip through Iran is the result of years of close collaboration between the German Waterhistorical Association (DWhG) and the National Irrigation and Drainage Commissions of Iran and Germany. The cooperation between the Ostfalia University, Campus Suderburg, Germany and the Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University Iran have been raised to a new level during this trip.

I was there in 77-78 with Bell Helicopter. Stay a month in the hotel(Sheraton?) by the 33 arch bridge where I spent a lot of time looking at the river(we called it the PO) when it had water. Next to the hotel was a Korean restaurant with great Argentine beef. I learned to love KIT KAT bars there before they were sold in the states. We called the bazaar "the Souk" I am trying to get a visa to go back.

Thanks for the video, I am Iranian but the last time I was in north eastern part of Iran was 25 years ago. You just made a video as it is expected from a highly educated university teacher. A video with curious eyes but no arrogance at all.
