The lever on mine broke twice, the lock nut is a weaknesses, i hope the 2nd version will have a metal bottom

The sponge in the clipper is to keep the hair out of the inside of the clipper.

I know why your machine is rattling, it's because the blade is not balanced it's not because of the zero gap, I have the same issue with one of my machine before I thought it was zero gap was making the issue but it wasn't it was the balance your blade is a little bit over on the right side compared to your left side if you look at it that's where they're off balance is, Hopefully that helped

The quiet comes from the cutting blade, looks like you have the steel blade, switch to ceramic and it will work well for the autistic. Love the color mod. I'm getting into customizing my own. 9:46

Nice video man! I have been working on my own custom clippers with trial and error. I found that using a 2 part epoxy over the paint and then clear coat is quite durable. The epoxy creates a layer so it wont chip off like your clipper is. I hope this helps.
