I absolutely love this camera! if I’m not using my good old pocket 3, I’m using this. It’s a great cam just gotta make everything align. From filming with the right settings and post process and exporting. You can definitely make this camera look amazing!

I’ve actually tried the sony phantom luts on the pocket 3. It’s a bit more contrasty and harsher highlights. But other than the it does look pretty similar. For the pocket 3 phantom luts the roll off is much better. I wanna say the Sony is 90% there? Thank you :)

@@avpfilms27 Yes, dji has a much fatter picture. How. It's like there's a lot of information there. And insta is taken out programmatically. But in insta, you don't have to worry about d log. Thanks bro😎

I’ve used this camera for a year now. And it still wows me every time Everytime I see the footage. In my opinion it’s the best travel camera out there. I’ve used it for all my travels and day to day adventures.

Dlog I mostly have it on -0.3! Thanks this is an incredible camera. If I have to use anything over ISO 3200. I then use Normal or Lowlight.

For me it’s a little bit of both. I noticed that the camera actually over exposes. So naturally for me I dial in the EV to around -0.7 to -1.0. For auto settings I actually use -1.0. When you’re doing auto just play around with the EV settings. My shutter speed is always 200 and up. For manual I look at the screen all together and if I see it looks too over exposed I dial it back a bit landing on again -0.7 to -1.0 or even sometimes -1.3. I want to keep as much color as I can. For manual I mostly just change the shutter speed. Basically look at the screen. I eye ball it. And look at the EV. For both auto and manual. When the scene is over exposed you lose a lot of vibrancy. ISO always the lowest depending on settings. But for me I’m thinking the cleanest ISO is from 100-800. But I still use iso 1600 or 3200. After shooting for so long a little bit of noise doesn’t hurt me. Post processing is a lot easier if you dial in the correct exposure. I always shoot DLog m! I don’t use nd filters due to jitters! Just crank up that shutter speed haha! I use to be like omg I have to use nd filters and have to have the cleanest ISO but now it’s all good. I’ve learned not to care so much. But I do love good looking footage though! I use premiere pro! I’m sure you can do a bit of minor color correction. Haven’t used Lumafusion though. Im all over the place with this haha. Hope this helps!

Manual! But I just cranked up the shutter speed! My minimum shutter speed was 1/200 to avoid them jitters! No nd filters! your welcome!

That's the issue with pretty much all log profiles. I've used Sony Slog 3, Pocket 3 Dlog M, Fuji Flog, and now the action 5 Dlog 5 Dlog M. They all have some kind of noise. With the sony a7siii it's the king of low light and even with the cleanest ISO it still has some kind noise when shooting log. After doing a few edits add some shadows and a little bit of sharpness. For me I use premiere pro just around like 9 sharpness and the noise just naturally gets less and less. For me I mostly shoot in 24 fps and 30 fps and save the 60 fps for slow motion. Or if you're riding a motorcycle 60fps would be good too! I would stick to 4K for the best image quality. And also 4:3 uses the whole sensor. So, for that you would use 16:9 in post processing and that way you can adjust the vertical parts for best composition.

If you’re doing a static shot. Which I tend to do then it’s pretty easy. If you’re doing a push in or push out shot it’s a bit more challenging but doable.

No ND filters for now. I pretty much just crank up the shutter speed. And ISO as low as I can put it depending on the lighting conditions.

@@avpfilms27 for motovlogging to get the natural motion blur. 180 rule will help me right? I can use 4k 50fps and iso 100 Shutterspeed 1/100. Using nd filters and getting dlogm footage. Will this be the good setting for a motovlog

@@royalrides3278 yes it will! But for action cameras I think in my opinion it's ok to break the rules. The biggest reason why for me is because of the jitters. Sometimes even with pretty good lighting the footage would jitter. So 24 fps 1/50 or 30 fps 1/60 it would jitter. I've been using more 1/200 shutter speed as a minimum more and more just to remove the jittery footage. Once the camera thinks it's kind of low light it will start to have these funky jitters. To combat that you have to bring the shutter speed up. That's why for me I don't know if I'm gonna buy ND filters? but maybe? I'm usually a hardcore don't break the rules kinda guy. But now I'm learning to ease up and break the rules with this camera.
