Thank you, Lisa. Very helpful video.
Thank you so much for making this video, was here last may for the first time, but they were all closed. Was going to make a impromptu trip down, and saw the campgrounds were reopened and now i see that cabin 7 is avail for the next few nights in a row and basically no other cabins have that avail for the rest of the year. So i guess i'm in luck i will book it asap and head down in the AM. Thanks again, btw these are newly contructed after the hurricane a few years back.
I'm jealous! Have a great time!
Thank you so much for putting this together!
My pleasure!
Thank you for the video!
My pleasure!
Thank you for great review! It is very helpful. Are there no see um bugs(sand fly)? I'm so scared of it.
Yes unfortunately! The biting flies were bad but bug spray and the sunscreen with bronzer really helps!
Do the cabin still have names? If so what is the name of this one? When I was a kid I stayed in one named snapper. Do you know if that one's still there?
They do! This one is Sunset. I'll see if I can figure out which one is Snapper!
I don't see a snapper but here is a list: Cabin 1 Sunrise Cabin 2 Dolphin Cabin 3 Starfish Cabin 4 Sand Dollar Cabin 5 Turtle Cabin 6 Scallop Cabin 7 Eagle Cabin 8 Sunset
The reservation system changed this year to give Florida residents first chance at reserving the cabins. Floridians can reserve up to eleven months in advance, non-residents can only reserve up to ten months, which means almost all of the cabins are reserved by the time a non-resident is allowed to make one. That seems fair since it's a state park, but it means non-residents are unlikely to get a reservation. TH Stone is a beautiful park and worth a visit.
Just bought a house 6 houses down from this state park.
As an out of state resident, that doesn't seem fair because as you mentioned, out of state residents will probably never be able to make a reservation. I've been going there for over 15 years and was there when they evacuated us from cabin 2 during hurricane Michael. In the past, we always made reservations at exactly on the eleven month date and often did not get the cabin unless you are fast on the keyboard. They need to change that rule.
Appreciate this so much. Getting ready for my 1st trip to the cabins soon and it was super helpful.
Are the bottom sheets fitted?
Yes, they are
I’ve been looking at Cape San Blas for next year. Are the cabins pet friendly? I actually have a camper, did they mention when the campground would be open? Thanks for the video!
They are not pet friendly unfortunately
Thanks for the video, we are going soon to stay in this cabin. Is there room for two twin air mattresses in the living room with room to walk around to get to the bathroom.
Yes I think so, it might be tight but I think you can make it work
Thanks!!
You may want to check on the capacity ,people allowed , in cabins.
Thank you. You did a great job describing everything.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for doing this! I actually was blessed to reserve this cabin for a week in August! I was hoping and praying someone would post a video. I now have a better idea of stuff to pack. Thank you!
I'm glad it helped! I'm not the best videographer lol
@@Lisarenee1216 Not everyone is...most of my videos have minimal speaking on the occasion that I make one. However, I've been going to this park since I was a baby and my grandparents have been going since it opened. This is the first time I'll be showing my kids and husband! So I just love the place so muc, I will probably give my try at doing a video!
This place is nothing like this video. We stayed here today and we are so disappointed. It’s now owned by a hotel chain. Just horrible. Do not stay here. So disappointing
That's a shame! I did see its for sale now
I love Apalachicola! Thanks for posting.
You bet!
Did the cabin have a coffee maker? I did not see one in the video.
I don't think so
@@Lisarenee1216 OK. We will just bring ours from home then. Must have coffee! Thank you.
Thank you- this is an awesome video to see what's included! We go in April. Did they have a washer/dryer or means to clean clothes?
Not in the cabin but maybe in the park? We didn't look for one though.
Thanks for the video I am currently trying to get a cabin. Did the cabin have WiFi?
You know, I don't really remember. I think so but we didn't even take a laptop and were able to use our cell phones ok. But just can't remember if we connected to wifi or not
Thank you Jill but I couldn’t hear it!
I know, the sound was bad
Thank you so very much for posting this. I literally JUST booked this very cabin an hour ago for November so seeing what we will have vs what we need to bring is so very helpful.
Before we went I couldn't find anything so I knew people needed this lol. Thanks for sticking with my shaky cam 😚
Thank you for posting this, I always wondered what they were like on the inside.
How much was the price for the whole week ? The place look beautiful
It was about $850 for the week - around $120 a night. But its high demand so we booked it about a year in advance
Do they not have TV's
no tv's but we didnt miss it!
Thank you for your video. I attempted to watch ,but puked my brains out. I’m sooo sea sick now!
My video skills are top notch 🙃😂
