Bass and Hot Rods
Приєднався 28 жов 2014
Cool cars and Bass Guitars!
Documenting hot rod builds, and a little bass too!
Current projects include finishing up a custom 1968 F100 Flareside Restomod, a Show Me Rod and Customs 1932 Ford 3 Window Highboy, and modding a Rare Yellow Blaze 2011 Mustang GT Premium. I'm a second generation hot rodder, having grown up under the hood of many 1930 - 1941 Fords. I bleed Ford Blue, but love any great build.
More projects coming.

New Project!!! 1966 Mustang Episode 1
My first car was a 1966 Mustang Coupe, acquired when I was 14, which my father and I built. I had to sell due to life circumstances, and will never get it back. But I CAN recreate it.

My first car, a 65 GT coupe, 4 bbl, and a Toploader, I loved that car a guy ran a stop sign and hit me head-on. :( You could build a first-generation Mustang with a clean spot on the garage floor and a checkbook. Best of luck with that beauty I hope it brings the memories back!
So cool 😎
Beautiful truck. Love the colors!
Nice build
Oh you got the stepside bumb side sweet
Puppy Power! ... I bet they will sleep well tonight!
t fb ig
You could have also just cleaned up the contacts on the old switch. Bend the pins up a bit. They grt vibrated flat sometimes.
@@wakkawakka7624 nope. Switch was broken internally.
Awesome car! It will look GREAT when done!
That shifter is dope😂😂
😄
Three weeks ago I had a heart attack. Cardiologist told me I was very lucky. No damage to the muscle. He did a cath and placed two stents. I walked out of the hospital feeling like a million bucks. For the benefit of others reading this: If you have transient chest pain, shortness of breath or general fatigue see a doctor ASAP. Denial is not an option. If you can not get a timely appoint go to the emergency room.
Amen. Glad you are ok!
Love the Les Paul jackplate! Ingenuity at its finest!
Did I hear that right, you used a Les Paul jack plate? I love it.
Yes you did
I am so glad you caught this and I hope all goes smoothly!
Hey mate, really enjoy your Cobra videos. Really hope your surgery goes well. Good wishes from Adelaide South Australia.
Thank you so much! My wife was an exchange student long ago in Sidney. Always wanted to make that trip
One day aye, make it here and we'll go for a drive in my Cobra I built.
You're on!
Sorry to hear this Larry You are too young Best wishes for success and I’m thankful you didn’t have a heart attack
So getting a stent? Remember last year I had 4 bypasses. No heart damage though
A stent is the plan. A few weeks from now
@@bassandhotrods Hope that’s all and that will probably fix you right up

I would quit my job tomorrow to work on old cobras. I would never need an alarm clock again.😅😅
Absolutely! I have to drag myself out of bed for work. Weekends I'm in the garage early.
Looks beautiful.
My ford expedition 5.4l gets about 10mpg. This would be alot better for me.
@@gregharris4139 I have a 1999 F150 5.4 that does about that. Half if towing anything
Those are awesome projects and how cool is it that your shop is large enough that you can use wheel dolly's to move vehicles around! 😀
It is a smidge better than the 2 car garage I started with
You are officially The Cotton Mouth now ❤
@@audiegrider155 I can live with that
Sure. If you don't drive like a maniac. But what's the fun there?😂
That don't make since I get 23.8 miles to a gallon in my 2019 mustang gt performance pack
not a body man, just a man with a body & making it work!
Excellent!
I just stumbled across you channel and have to say I love wahat you are doing !!.....I will follow both channels including your wife's and I am pulling for you guys!!.....I also used to live in the DFW area and now reside in West Texas in a small town. We are not as secluded as you are in the Ozarks but we do have a small place in Central Texas that we raise cattle at. I bought a Lone Star Classic's 1965 Shelby kit car back in 1996 that I drove quite a bit the first couple of years. The past 20 years I have not driven the car a total of 20 miles. I started upgrading the car about 15 years ago and adult stuff got in the way. Now I think I am going to finish the interiorm, put new wheels and tires on it, upgrade the brakes and fine tune some of the odds and ends and start enjoying the car like I should be. I really like your video here and it seems I have battled these louvers ever since owning the car. I will be going through all of your videos and watching your wife's channel also. I will be looking forward to the positive content and let's enjoy life together. Take care and God Bless!
That is an excellent thought! Thank you for watching and enjoy West Texas!
That is a tough one. I could go either way as well but would lean toward the no scoop look.
Badass
Looking good, I can’t believe I haven’t used that jingle on my UA-cam, well done sir!
It's great that you have the new shop. Those two projects would have been impossible to work on at the same time in your old garage.
Hey There!, I’ve just found your channel. I’ve actually got a Factory Five cobra on order. I’m crazy about the under car exhaust and not a big fan of the side exhaust. I’m really struggling to find a shop that will do the “custom” under car work. Can I ask how you found your exhaust/muffler company??
Hey! Hurricane, at the time of my purchase, was owned by a company in central Iowa who has since sold to a group in Indiana. They had a local exhaust shop they used for the street cobras they sold, and I'm sorry to say I do not know the name of the company they used. I have a few videos early on in the build going over the exhaust, and when I had it cerricoated, but if you would like me to take some pictures of it, just let me know. I'll do what I can. Thanks for the visit!
Now THAT is Hip!
Nice video. It was interesting to me that the hurricane body is a street roadster (two round lights) but the opening they cut is for a SC (signal rectangle) tail light.
Jake was the last man standing. I was just happy to get the car
I need a explanation
The fuel filler is mocked up.
That rig is really coming together nicely.
Wow my 2010 gt was doing the same thing right after I had the oil changed and thanks to your video I checked my air box and it was installed correctly but they ripped the lip of the seal on the air filter and the filter was dropping down into the box. I put a new filter on the car and now it runs great again. Thank you so very much
Glad it helped! And thanks for watching!
Great of you to bring the truck back. My parents used to have an 01 XLT but it got totaled. Wish we still had the truck
I had a 99 styleside with an extended cab, and the 5.4. Damn fine truck. It has been my experience The 5.4’s are only problematic if you don’t stay on top of the maintenance.
Hammer. It may not fix your problem but you can always beat the shit out of it.
Cool truck!
Ain’t I a stinker?
Hard 8 BBQ
Excellent brisket (which isn't BBQ)
It's always an abs issue on them older fords
I have discovered that. At least it is easy to get to. Gotta figure out hot to bleed the system once I do it.
@@bassandhotrods scan tool to do an abs bleed
@@jameslewis1175thanks! I'll check that out!
My opinion is to leave it as close to the way your Dad had it as possible, that helps carry to story forward. The story is the value.
That is the final decision
Screwdriver its used for everything!
I just need a credit card so I can buy all that stuff

Did they prime the galvanized ?
No. Not needed. The foam seals everything from moisture, and the building has a lifetime warranty
