The homeowner obviously will be very upset by this and will often have to have the project redone or in some cases they are so disappointed, they abandon the project all together. He was advising the local artisans not to do this type of “shoddy” business as it reflects badly on the artisans that are hard working and honest. He also advised artisans that if they feel a certain quality/quantity of materials is needed for a project to be done properly and the homeowner is insisting that they use less materials etc. to cut costs, it is best for the artisan not to take the project on at all. In the end, the work will always reflect on the artisan, for good or bad. An artisan’s signature is the work they produce. Landscaping can be a costly endeavour, so another suggestion he made is that if the entire price tag is too much for the homeowner, they can opt to do the work in stages. This way the cost is not overwhelming all at once, and most importantly it can be done right the first time!
