I am constantly using clouds in max for 10 years or more, but have never figure it out that you have to just wait instead of converting e57 directly in recap... I always thought it is graphic card or cloud size issue. Thank you as always for priceless lesson :)

Recon 3D is as poor than Leica: not work. App not work . How did you get the app working?

Hi Eugene. I was wondering on the amount of Targets you want to use. In this case is more For scaling but what if you use 3 targets ? One in the middle for example. In the same line, when is it necessary to use targets on perpendicular axis and elevation ? Thanks !

Really like the content you are making. I wonder if you tried to use a polarizer on the iPhone - same hold true for outdoors scans with mobile devices. Also when you use scales such as April tags, what’s the propertion to the total length you want to use ? Are 2 tags enough for scaling or you need information on the z axis as well ? I see that you can get luckier with shiny surfaces such as the car but what can you do about the chrome plated poles on the edges of the car ? You just can’t carry an aesub can and I was wondering if you can find a better process approach for those as well Happy to learn more - keep at the good work !

How long is the car in the papers or registration? Very nice test, i just upgraded vom 12 pro to 15 pro ;-) I was wondering if the two LiDAR Sensors would interfere each other, but that seems to be no problem. Since yesterday i can not upload to the cloud from Recon-3d App, is there a Server Problem?

Would be interesting to compare that to the pattern of the new Leica BLK360 Pulse with 16 Sony dTOF sensors.

It's clear and evident that light point clouds from earlier versions are higher to release a product quickly with higher accuracy without relying on Algorithm. That is a base level code with more light point clouds. But now with the LIDAR program advancing with Apple's team code updated constantly, they might've done the math. Only at 1/40 or more we see dots shifting. Which means a video round table with decent rotation speeds will not affect the data collected. As the light point clouds are constant mostly. And doesn't require too much power usage. Whilst reducing the size of the hardware. As the program continues to improve they might create mitigative codes for, obstructed and passed through light when they develop a UD (Under display) LIDAR module. May even increase the frequency of light clouds switching on and off to 1/100 or so with code advancements. Who knows. There are multiple combinations one can try to attain efficiency and peak point cloud data for error free Photogrammetry. The future is Insanely awesome. Nerf adoption will even level up this ten times more.

My phone (13 pro max) definitely COOKS when using Recon (and certain other streaming apps). I have to remove my case, but often half way thru a scan my screen will darken so much that I can barely see the screen. Wish they would develop a better heat sink.

Eugene, wouldn't it be possible to open each door while it's not in frame, then move in and do the interior in each area while all other doors are closed? Then you'd get the interior surfaces of all doors while closed, and it would be all one scan with no need to combine multiple scans. I'm gonna go try it myself right now, actually...

Great videos! great app. Do you know any example on archaeology or monuments surveys? I intend to use it for a historical building survey in combination with laser scanner data.

On the point of putting the iPad on a pole. In my experience is scary a heavy. After 2-3 meters it feels very heavy and hard to manipulate, specially if you hold it at an angle and not completely vertical. Also unless you can secure the ipad, you kind of feel it can fall off easily.
