you missed an oil can in the factory, on the window over the cars, which i think unlocks further items. and a flier lying in the back of the pickup truck. enemies CAN follow you inside and even attack you while you sleep, so always close the door quick, though they will despawn when the day rolls over. there's also another cabin somewhere with another sheet of metal inside. i dunno if that's a lot, but it will be handy when the full game comes out.,

This is a bit of a tangent on the rocks but i think it helps to contextualise their significance. Put simply, from my understanding, they’re Bloodstones, a recurring motif through many lovecraftian and eldritch works that serves to demonstrate the existence of the impossible, like getting blood from a stone. They basically say “hey something is kinda off here”. This also ties into actual real life Bloodstone (Heliotrope mineral) which has folklore of healing, some really wacky religious folklore, and alot of early superstition going back to the time of Rome. Basically I agree that the bloodstones are chunks of what used to be the Matriarch of Dirt, and they ate kept by people for one reason or another, be that healing or just superstition, but they also point like a big neon sign towards the Eldritch and Lovecraftian.

I’ve got the long drive and put more hours than I care to admit with a game that has no point other than to drive as long as you can. I stumbled across this because it has a long drive/ mad max vibe but has missions to increase playability. I’m super excited to try it out, I just downloaded it on my steam deck
