Yep! I had a teacher who played these during silent reading time in school. I'm a 50 year old professional musician now with an emphasis in jazz and classical. I had a series of these tapes in the 1980's, used them for study while in college. They actually did work to a degree, like anything you get bored with them.

I would listen to my Teddy Ruxpin or Cricket doll every single night as a very young child. This is the sound of my childhood - but a little more "low battery" sounding! 🤣 I remember "oatmeal" would often come out so ridiculously slow, it sounded so funny!
