I recently visited my friend Dave Pierce who is owner of Aquarium Gardens, one of the top Aquascaping galleries here in the United Kingdom! we dived into many questions beginners may have when first starting up an aquarium and spoke about some of his favourite aquariums inside this beautiful showroom!

A second part of my 90CM Cold water inspired biotope aquarium build, which includes planting the aquarium heavily and using a method I learnt myself which included using a pond dye which allowed me to re create an artistic cold water environment! perfectly safe for livestock and aquatic plants.

@@justin94431 hi mate! Luckily I have secured all this driftwood from the bottom which actually gives me a little bit of play when it comes to cleaning glass / maintenance etc 😀 All you need is the tiniest bit of filter floss in the gap 😀 thanks for your comment mate

How do you get such nice ripple effect at the water surface? Is the back lily pipe outflow just at the waterline or is it pointed upwards? Looks beaut
@@Barnard87 hi buddy, welcome to check out my IG and drop me a message for further questions, but ultimately the ripple effect is created by a secondary filter in this case which sits just at the top of the water line. My other Lilly pipe at the front has co2 going through it so the filter in the back is just for flow! I also have a nice set of lights that gives the shimmer effect also! I appreciate your comment and remembering this old video! 💚
