Behind the Scenes Andrea | Expanding the Canvas
hey, how to put the downloaded pixar model into unreal?
Where do I find it?
Its incredibly helpful to see a fair and direct comparison of these gloves! Thank you for taking the time to do this, despite the likely limited audience for which this video is relevant.
Wow thats massice lighteen i use
What do you think about the Manus gloves for stunts, like climbing a wall or climbing a rope? Do the finger sleeves feel like they would easily fall off?
First!
amazing comparison.
This looks awesome!
Looks great! I need to do a face scan and try Mesh to MH at some point.
Great, great stuff!
This is so cool!!
That was very informative. Few questions - are there tools available for mocap as well similar to poly? Is poly any good? Can it replace esper for all use case? Also do students at sheridan get access to this and how much would it cost to get a metahuman created ?
There are budget options for motion capture such as rokoko video which is free to use or Sony's Mocopi. Poly cam is pretty great. It gets the job done in many use cases like mesh-to-metahuman. A photogrammetry rig still produces higher quality results but isn't usually necessary. Students at Sheridan have to opportunity to collaborate with us at the SIRT Centre on projects.
Wow, quite interesting.
Great comparison... definitely a lot of folks looking at both right now. Kudos for you to not only doing it but sharing the knowledge
Top video
This is great and very informative!
You are a great actor, saw you in Murdock mysteries……very very good thanx ! Can’t wait to see more ..
how to do it pls put a video
I am very interested in the NULL actor blueprint. I am not ready to get into nDisplay yet. Does that functionality require the plugin? The link points to the Marketplace which says it isn't for sale. Is there another way to get the plugin?
Hi Terry, we ended support on this plugin as it was built for 4.26, and major changes in UE5 made it irrelevant. If you are only looking to control an actor without nDisplay, you can do this natively using the Monogram plugin. Simply map Translation, Rotation to your hardware then select any actor and it should work out of the box :)
@@SIRTCentre thanks for the reply. The problem is I want to select the actor with a monogram button not the unreal interface. By the way since I posted my question I have been able to hack a solution using blueprints and remapping some of the sequencer controls.
I am getting this, and am having trouble getting the NULL Object to work. Not sure if they are related. "Failed to load /Script/PicpProjection.PicpProjectionIBlueprintLib Referenced by K2Node_CallFunction_2"
and I approve all statements made in this commmercial!
Murdoch Mysteries-Milo Strange
In the future all movies will be shot on cell phones.
what a nice tv
Are there plans to update this toolkit for Unreal 4.27 ndisplay modifications?
Hi Brian, currently no. However the new Monogram release which allows control over Midi is a more viable option since it doesn't require a plugin. There are some good paths for controlling nDisplay through Remote Control, then use Monogram as a midi controller. Hope that helps
🥷🪂
Where do i buy this VHS?
Well done, guys! Loved this format-- you're all so great on camera!
The video sound is pretty good, beyond my imagination
Wow! Awesome work! Congrats Spencer!
Awesome!!!!!
+++++++++++
Impressive work!!!
Awesome Spencer!
Thanks Ben!
I m from india Planning to do tropical forest survival background pro movie please help me to contact you people I need your association
how do you run remote web on nDisplay cluster? so far it only works on editor for me
Wow
Andrea I was soooo happy to see that you are contributing your talent in this SIRT Centre collaboration with The National Ballet of Canada, The Royal Opera House and Canadian Opera Company to launch Expanding the Canvas. Truly exciting that you are taking a part in this project. ENJOY!!! This is Shirley Tetreau and I wish all the best to you and everyone collaborating together. I send you my love with a huuuuge hug XOXO
Incredible! Such a fan of Nicole.
Hi I am very excited for this technology. Please don’t take this the wrong way but certain shots still look ‘fake’. 1:31 for example - it’s so clear the background isn’t really behind her. From a business perspective this is incredible but it doesn’t have that ‘real’ feel about it. I am curious: what are the drawbacks of this technology?
Hi and sorry for the late reply! I agree with you that not all the shots look great here, this video was filmed as a technical demonstration of the technology -- in order to get past that 'fake' look additional elements would need to be improved, such as lighting and set design. This tech really shines when it is integrated with practical sets. Some current draw backs are cost, and scale of studios required based on your shot composition -- but its all coming down fast :) I can assure you that in this video the actress is standing in front of an LED wall at all times.
cool
Really good and informative video 👍🏻 I have now a professional cam with my new fx6 but my studio is so small and unprfessional 😂 best cinematic greetings from germany 🎞 #filmmakingismypassion
Where can we download the example project?
You can access it when you create new project. It's under Film, Television and Live Events section.
Hi Justin, we ended support of this as it was built in 4.26, and major changes in UE5 have made it unusable.
Ja to takie miasto już chyba widziałem w jakiejś gierce...tak z 5-10 lat temu.........
O, jeszcze jakiś Polak. Siemano
Can you share with us how do you cope with virtual cam with real cam offset problem due to censor imprecision? My studio is having trouble, after using the real camera to move the virtual camera for a while, they will start to show offset which is intolerable ;(
@SIRT centre is it possible to make short movie without being in person by using Zoom or other software?
There are many things to consider, but at the core yes. A small team would likely need to be in the space; talent, lighting and technical direction at the least. But many other roles could perform remotely given the proper technology, tools and infrastructure. We are exploring a minimal crew and remote toolset setup, stay tuned.
nice setup
