Very nice car, love the black interior.Those big almost vertical steering wheels remind of a ship wheel. But you need it to manhandle a curvy long ride, will give you a workout !

The primary issue with the '69 SS 396 is they weren't SS 427 like they should have been. The bigger bore of the 427 and 454 allows for more power up top,.

Only about 1800 GT's were built? I would have thought more than that. Cougars were popular.

if i could give advice, as someone finding this video, no one cares about all the bullshit. I like the chrome, and the car looks cool, but I wanted to hear the engine. i didn't want to hear you talk and the video is far longer than it needed to be for no reason, still jealous and yes i might be a hater but i hope you're doing good, cool car :)

I had the same car, same color in 1976. I had the factory deep dish mags, headers, cam, Muncie rock crusher 4 speed with Hurst shifter, even the same gauges. Loved driving it to the max.

My Dad had a Stingray just like this, but it was a 350 cu in. I was little, I used to ride in the trunk, and poke my head out between the seats! Lol. It was a rough ride, but my sister's always got the passenger seat.

This had to be THE year of the best looking Chevelle in terms of body style. That sideline bold black stripe was optional, BTW. It looked fine without it. I knew a guy that had a '69 Chevelle SS398 that was solid "marina" blue like this one, but without the black vinyl top. He never really ever "punched" it at lights like a lot of guys with muscle cars did in those days. It also had a snow white interior that set it off real nice. Whoever got it after he sold it got a good car that had been taken care of and was bought mainly for the looks and not performance.

The car is beautiful one of my favorite years but it looks like it's a clone the dashboard is not an SS cluster anybody that knows this car knows that

I had a 1969 about 15 years ago, I sold it cuz I need it money. I don't regret selling because it was for a good cause. I would like to purchase an other soon.
