Porsche PST2 BOSCH KTS restoration with battery rebuild
I fix, repair and do whatever is necessary to keep vintage and modern Porsche scan tools alive! My email is in the video. EVERY CIRCUIT is an amazing app if you are truly interested in electronics and making circuits. This is a bridge rectifier I made real quick and it is true us specs power grid. Approximately 170 volts AC which will become 120 volts RMS and through the rectifying circuit you ultimately get 12.8 volts DC.

Apple or Android, I used to translate to understand what you were trying to say because obviously I do not speak your native language. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.everycircuit.free. That is the Android version and it also works on PC and I'm sure Apple has a version also
Thank you Frank! My pilot valve wire was broken. Soldered it back and the heater is working now. Thanks for providing the solution and instilling the courage to try this. We were on day 4 with no hot water. Thank you!!
I only wish the video was better because I didn't use enough pictures and close-ups but I'm glad someone else was able to fix theirs. It's an easy fix. Someone replied that is in the hot water heater business saying it won't last but although I don't live in that house anymore I am still close with the previous owner and that was three plus years ago and that heater is going strong without any problems

@@Harvesterable I make batteries for these with much higher capacity. Bosch batteries are no longer available for these and they are old if they've been sitting on the shelf a long time. My batteries have 10 amp hour or 10,000mah capacity

Well Done Frank! Is it still going? Usually that's only a temporary fix until the valve finally fails? I've seen that technique used to get rid of a code 4. How about an update on the water heater? Thanks for sharing your experience !
That valve is simple. The coil wires break. An update? The heater is still working with no issues.

Sorry, I can fix many things but I can't do the video thing very well. If you have this hot water heater control, use the 9 volt battery to test the solenoids and the one solenoid on mine had a broken wire at the magnet and the other one was ready to go but I took them up into my soldering station and was able to fix them and save myself some money. I should have done a better job at that to give people clarity but maybe this helps and I would even send you some personal pictures I have of it as opposed to the ones on LinkedIn if it could help you.
