Will always feel like john marks is closer to the heart of god, the fathers heart is in the lyrics amd to change them for the sake of peoples own inhibitions feels like an attempt to diminish the song for the sake of those who are too closed off to hear how far the father wants to work in their lives. Of course i dont judge anyone for their views or feelings, but even crowder knows it's been "sloppy wet" since the start. He may not agree with it himself and of course i dont judge him for his version, but when people talk about the anointing upon this song, they need to gear john marks testimony. In that, i pray they see into the lord just that little bit more. Look past the names, the titles and the lyrics, to the lords work in the worship and what he is doing in you.
