Watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show as a young teenager was epic. The Beatles and the Ventures made me want to learn to play guitar. As an old boomer, I still play their songs on my guitar. The greatest and most influential band in history. They literally altered the world in so many ways.

I was zero in 1964 until November. I didn't really fall in the love with the Beatles until I was about 12. Then John was killed and I cried like a little girl for a day. My mom did too. The thing that everyone loves about the Beatles is we loved when we were young.

Seeing the Beatles in 1980 just before John's death always gets to me. I think at this point, all 4 of them believed on some level that they would reunite in some capacity. Whether for an album, a live performance, a full tour, or even just a single song. It was going to happen until the day it became impossible for The Beatles to ever exist again.

8 years later, in 1972, my aunt brought me as a birthday present Help….that was a SHOCK for my whole family of musicians lovers only of classical music and jazz… We never recovered… We all never stopped listening and loving the Beatles. My parents were only a couple of years older than Ringo and John. But they discovered them first on 1972. They knew it was sad because it was too late. They didnt exist anymore. Only the records existed…until tonight. Its a love which comes back again and again and again as years go by.
