    Rules? Try to make opponent step on those "traps"?

    • @kaizenkanjudo
      @kaizenkanjudo 2 місяці тому

      Yes. The gsme is to pull or push and make your partner touch the traps. Ideally, they should do the correct tai sabaki, but since they were BJJ students, they don't know how to move on the mat correctly. And I also tell them to count how many times they touch the trap. If athlete A touches the trap 3 times and athlete B touches the trap 5 times, at the end athlete B will have to pay something, like 5 pushups or 3 burpees for example.

      That’s the whole point of power training. Moving weights in fast bursts. Don’t spread misinformation, and act knowledgeable.

    • @kaizenkanjudo
      @kaizenkanjudo 9 місяців тому

      I understand what you meant, but maybe your lack of knowledge makes you think that way. This is not training to increase maximum strength, but training to increase power, as described in the title. Power training speed is very important and the momentum you say helps to make the movement faster. Furthermore, when you quickly stretch the muscle, you activate mechanisms in your body (muscle spindle) that make you have a faster contraction, helping with speed and, consequently, power. The name for this is called the stretch-shortening cycle which is commonly seen in plyometric training. Furthermore, there are many movements with momentum in judo, why not train that? If my goal was to increase my maximum strength, then you would be right. But anyway, thank you very much for your question, and feel free to ask if you find any more inconsistencies in my training.

      I think you have little knowledge on the subject. There's a study saying that Judo helps increase gray matter (brain). This is due to endless possibilities.
