thats your problem, you have to turn up the video resolution. if its set to auto and it goes blurry, then your internet connection is poor. i would recommend 720p.

Hi Khelli. At this point in time I do not believe there is that functionality with this template.

The weights have to be exactly the same in Canvas as they are in PowerSchool. They do not come over automatically. You have to set the weights by quarter in PowerSchool. That help?

Hi Virginia. There seems to be no "simple" fix for this. That said, this will work. Let's say student missed one assignment and he will be excused. Click on his/her overall percent and change the formula. This is what the formula should say: =sum($E7:$AB7)/TotalPoints This will add up all of their points and then divide it by the total points. In this case you don't want to do this. So, instead, change the formula to subtract the assignment that you are excusing. For example: =sum($E6:$AB6)/(TotalPoints-F3) In this case the assignment that you wanted subtracted was F3. Now when you put a EX in for the assignment it will not count it against them. If you want me to make a video on this please let me know!

Hi Becca! Yes, the “page” link is simply a page with reminders, updates, objective, and everything that we are doing that day. I wanted to have one place that students could launch from to keep it simple. I hope it doesn’t create too much work for me. That said, if it reduces the confusion for students it will be worth it. Thanks for the support! I will post a follow up video here in a month to let people know how it went. It’s all an experiment.

It's a really powerful tool I've been using for a while. The gist is I give students a google form where I allow them to rate me on different topics - how well I build relationships, how prepared I am, etc. At the bottom of the form I give them an opportunity to voice their opinions about whats going well, what needs to be changed, etc. If you're interested, I did a full video on my last report card. This is such a great idea. I do something similar with a feedback survey at the beginning, middle and end of my college courses I teach and found it very valuable.
