Wow! I have to agree with you Rick... That's a first class Telecaster you've assembled! Looks great and sounds terrific! I like your thinking about the Musiclily parts, too... Not "cheap" parts, but very usable "inexpensive" parts. Glad to hear you like the GFS body, also. I'm about to build a very similar Telecaster to yours with a roasted Fender modern Tele neck and a GFS XGP butterscotch blonde body. I must say, seeing how well your Tele build turned out just makes me even more excited about getting started with mine! 😊👍👍🎸🎶✨️

I like their locking tunes gyker Chinese company but my favorite locking tuners are ninja

Yeah, its like a single-cut version of the 335. I had the big brother (which is a whole lot like the Birdland) on the way but Amazon dropped the ball and I canceled the sale. Honestly, have since found a Gretsch that meets my needs better anyway, just waiting for a used price I like better. Btw, nice chops man, subbing now. Thanks, great review.

Great review, many thanks. I remember a couple of these coming thru the shop when I was a guitar salesman back in the '70s but I had a Custom and didn't really get to know them - my loss! Would love to get my hands on one now - quite an unusual Gibson, esp. the maple neck, actually perfect for me - not jazz so much as 'cleanish chordal stuff' with the odd bit of lead work. Really nice playing!

Sounds great. There is something different about these; Reverse bridge pickup, reverse headstock and the pickups are backwards… All these things contribute to it sounding different than a normal strat.

You could put new pickups, and a little fretwork and I believe you would have a nice guitar

Pickups too close causes that thumpy leading edge on the tone. Back the pickups off a bit.

I wonder if this thing could be used for Brian May type of stuff that he does
