BIMForum
United States
Приєднався 2 гру 2021
The mission of BIMForum is to explore technology, delivery innovation, and performance improvement through building information modeling and new means of collaboration. To improve the design and construction industry through education and the development of best practices for these innovations, and to help implement these innovations into the broad AEC industry.
We support the US Chapter of buildingSMART international mission which is to promote and support the use of open BIM standards throughout the industry in a long-term effort to drive towards fully digitized information exchanges.

Evolving Owner Requirements for BIM
The use of Building Information Models (BIM) has been a standard requirement for delivering projects in the AEC/O industry for more than the last decade. Practitioners have developed skills and resources to employ BIM effectively and efficiently on their projects. Yet, the application, use and requirements for BIM have been evolving. The use cases for BIM on projects are expanding beyond the initial efforts of MEP coordination and owners are becoming more skilled in leveraging BIM to manage, renovate and expand facilities. In addition to the increased depth of application of BIM relative to traditional use cases, the dawn of AI presents additional opportunities. It is our prediction that BIM on the research and development side as well as on the practitioner side will only accelerate to impact our industry, our services and our products.
Please join us for this webinar in which we will host John Powell from Regeneron and Jim Marchese from the University of Pennsylvania Medical System (PennMedicine).John and Jim are recognized experts in our industry and are in a position to share their observations, recommendations and predictions relative to BIM on their projects.

Generative Design and AI: A Historical Overview, A Present Case Study, A Future for Design?
Переглядів 1718 місяців тому
Join Adam Davis and Radu Dicher for a BIMForum conversation over some specific applications of Generative Design. We’ll briefly consider the convergence of some prior generative approaches in the architecture and engineering for framing the conversation and perspective, then examine at some length a couple of case studies of using Generative AI Design for Electrical Conduit Design. The webinar ...
Design for Manufacturing and Assembly - Part 2
Переглядів 1059 місяців тому
In this webinar leading industry experts will describe where, when and how to apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) on large-scale and small-scale construction projects. We will build on the work we did in our first DfMA webinar in December 2023 and showcase a wider set of instances, approaches and tools of DfMA. Participants in the webinar will be able to take advantage of the les...
The 2023 BIMForum LOD Spec - What's New
Переглядів 44611 місяців тому
BIMForum did a major overhaul of its Level of Development (LOD) Spec for the 2023 release in order to enhance its consistency and usability. In addition, the section on landscaping was greatly expanded and enriched through collaboration with the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). This webinar will explore these enhancements and provide a detailed look at how the LOD Framework has ...

Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA)
Переглядів 474Рік тому
Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) is a paradigm that holds enormous promise. DfMA eliminates inefficiencies that have for a long time been accepted in our industry and our project delivery processes. Injecting reliably product and design information early in the project delivery process will enable early decision making, optimization, validation, procurement and start of construction...

Presented by Michael Czap and Gregory Buchanan Design processes and activities that integrate Lean thinking progress projects more predictably, generate more informative deliverables during preconstruction and bidding, enhance model development, and they reduce the over processing that is common with BIM project documentation. Authors Michael Czap, AIA and Greg Buchanan, AIA put forward their g...
BIMForum - AI in Design and Construction

The Architecture Engineering Construction and Ownership (AEC/O) industry is a target rich environment for development and improvement. Many tasks and processes are to some degree specific to a project and have been elusive for the introduction of deep automation. BIM has streamlined the design process to a degree, but in general building design, coordination and construction planning remain man...
Can we get a link of the map presented at 29:32?
Fantastic.. Dion this was really inspiring thx👍
wow, this presentation is the best of what I watched so far, thank you Dion
Thanks Stefano! We had a great time with @DionMoult as well.
