I would like to believe in annihilation RATHER than eternal conscious torment but, In Matthew 25:46 it says, “And {the wicked} will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” The two words translated eternal above are from the same Greek word; aiōnion. It means “eternal” in both. By the way, if you say hell above is NOT eternal, do you also say eternal life above is NOT eternal? They are the same word in one verse. Revelation 14:9-11 says, "If anyone worships the beast (anti-christ) and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath...and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment (NOT the smoke of their annihilation) goes up forever and ever, and they have NO REST, day or night." If they were annihilated out of existence, then the statement no rest day or night makes no sense. Revelation 20:10 says, "And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be TORMENTED day and night FOREVER and ever...Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if ANYONE"S name was not found written in the book of life (the ONLY way to get your name in the Book of Life, is coming to Jesus Christ) he was thrown into the lake of fire." By the way, the word torment is translated from the Greek word Basanismos, and it means to torture. It absolutely does NOT mean to annihilate and put out of existence. Look it up for yourself and see. But remember. God has given us a way out of eternal punishment: Turning to Jesus Christ and HIS sacrificial death on the cross. Again, I absolutely hope it is annihilation, but scripture doesn't seem to indicate it is. God could simply say, "Those who reject Christ, my ONLY pardon for sin, will be annihilated: they will be blotted out and cease to exist." But He doesn't. Instead, He says, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment (again, TORMENT not annihilation) will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night." That just doesn't sound like annihilation. AND remember Basanismous means TORTURE, NOT annihilation.

Yes! Amen! We can’t stand on His promises unless we know them. His Word is the healing balm when we are hurting, direction at a crossroads, correction when we are going the wrong way, peace when we are troubled. And fellowship with our Lord. Proverbs 4:20-22 ESV - … be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.

Proffesor Greene, I enjoyed listening to your video, This verse can be a source of encouragement for believers facing difficult circumstances, reminding them that even in the midst of trials, God can use their situation for the advancement of His kingdom. It also challenges believers to examine their own motives in preaching the gospel, emphasizing the importance of doing so out of genuine love and not selfish ambition.

This is Jon Jackson, I delivered this message. I realized at the end of the message I said that the older son beat to death the younger son when I actually meant the older son beat to death his father to bring back honor in the shame/honor society of the parable. The Jews rejected Him and He went to the Gentiles because GOD LOVES THE WORLD and you and Jesus loves you try to call on Him He will hear and lovingly answer you God sees the hunger of your 💜 heart

Not familiar with your being or if your a new preacher. I watched the entirety of this video and there's a lot of repeatability. Engaging the audience your targeting will probably be lost if they were listening carefully. Also a mature disciple of Jesus may have already heard what you shared many times. I would suggest elevating both new & matured Christians all in one. Don't dumb it down so far that you lose the elders but also don't be so eloquent with wording that a beginner loses interest. Keep the bar as God has. Do what the Holy Spirit tells you and move yourself out the way. Grace & peace to you.
