When studying the bible, the law is, in effect, we are not saved by it The law reveals sin, and in order to live right, we have to obey the commandments. JESUS said if you love me, you will keep my commandments. This man who was debating is not a scholar and isn't really knowledgeable about scripture it is not the sabbath by itself it is the sabbath combined with the word day meaning day of rest the Jews who kept this law taught there disciples to come together and breakbread and fellowship. In the debate, there was no teaching in Hebrew because the Sabbath Day was first taught in the hebrew scriptures. The apostles were Hebrews who had greek converts who believed We are not to fight over law. This is sin, and the world is watching if you have a disagreement. Do it in a loving and peaceful way. This is shameful to the body of Christ. There is a lot of pride in this debate. If anyone is reading, watch other debates with actual biblical scholars who know what they are talking about.

The preacher is wrong on two points of his presentation. the Sabbath is part of the Moral Law written by the finger of Jesus Himself. Let me start by making the reader understand that the Sabbath is actually mentioned in Genesis chapter 2. When Jesus blessed the 7th day and sanctified it and (CEASED) from creating on that day because everything was perfect and nothing else was needed. The Sabbath points to Jesus as Creator. It's not a Jewish day, it's not a day that is given only to a group of people alone, it's not a day for man to do as he pleases, it's The Lord's Day according to Jesus, and He makes that point when He says, "I AM Lord of the Sabbath". If there would have been any changes IN THE HOLY LAW, ONLY the Law Giver can make that change and to make it known of that change so that there is no confusion about it and any good student of scripture IF AND WHEN studying prayerfully diligently the scriptures in there totality from Genesis to Revelation will CLEARLY see that the Sabbath was never changed, even a none believer who studies the Bible in a form of story book alone will see that the Sabbath was never changed by God. In his second point the preacher makes a big mistake in thinking that God said "pic a day of your choice" and it's not a day out of seven, IT IS THE 7TH DAY WHICH IS THE SABBATH ALSO CALLED BY JESUS THE LORD'S DAY. His third point fails miserably thinking that he can use the Bible to reference a change in The Holy Law of God namely The One that begins with REMEMBER. One of the big mistakes that many students of scriptures make is to think that God chose the Hebrews only and forsook the rest of the world. the Bible says "God so loved the world"....not just the Hebrews; Israelites; Jews only. They were choses by God to as His special people BECAUSE...out of all the nations, they were a group people that still believed in God the Creator and God was trying to use these believers to pleach the good news to the rest of the world of the Christ that was to come and deliver them from the condemnation of their transgression of The Law, as would Christian do today preach of the same Christ that has come and is coming again. I will also mention something that many confuse and that is the covenant. First off, what is a covenant -> it is a LEGAL agreement between two or more parties. When Jesus provided the Hebrews the Covenant to the Hebrews it was GOOD coming from God; and that was that He asked the Hebrews to Keep His Law Holy and in doing so He Jesus would bless them in a special way. The way the Hebrews responded to God was their BIG MISTAKE. They thought that in their own strength they would be able to keep The Law and lo and behold, in didn't take long for them to transgress the very law they agreed to keep and so the covenant was broken, the legal document was not kept by their weakness. God was giving them a choice, free choice to think and to do and to make the right decision and they didn't. They thought they were strong enough on their own to keep The Law. God was longing for them to acknowledge their weaknesses and to seek God in mercy and to make a covenant based WITH GOD'S HELP...IN THE NEW COVENANT which is mentioned in the Old Testament says clearly that Jesus would make a new covenant with whom, WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL. I'm not going to go in to much detail, but the word name Israel has two application, a physical and a SPIRITUAL. The Spiritual is the one that is most important to Jesus. In the Old Testament Jesus said that He would WRITE HIS LAW IN THE HEART OF HIS PEOPLE ISRAEL. Who is He talking about when He mentions Israel, it's not physical Israel, but all those that that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND HAVE THE FAITH OF JESUS BY GOD'S GRACE. The Spiritual Israel that Jesus is talking about in the new covenant will recognize their weaknesses and seek help from God and allow God to write His Law in their heart Jeremiah 31:33...So you see the problem was not that the old covenant was not good from God's side, but on the people's side. They didn't get the lesson that God was hoping they would after being delivered from Egypt (type of the world). One more thing to mention is that the prophets knew that the Sabbath would remain steadfast in the New Heaven and the New Earth that is still yet future as we speak...There was never a confusion with regards which day was the Sabbath when the prophets wrote the inspired message from God. The New Testament never contradict the old, because the first Christians which were Jews, only had the old to use to begin with and what they wrote was in reference to the old. The only problem with the Sabbath in the New Testament was HOW TO KEEP THE SABBATH. The Jews who had been in captivity for a long time by the Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans that mingled with the unbelievers and added restrictions; burdens to the Sabbath that God never approved of and that is why Jesus said "why do you transgress The Law of God by your traditions"....Another confusion I need to mention is that most people forget and confuse the 7th Day Sabbath with the other sabbath days. During the what we would call the Jews Holy Days; the other 6 days were sabbaths but were not as strict as the 7th Day Sabbath. During the Holy Days the 7th Day Sabbath would be called a HIGH DAY, it would be Elevated to a high standard in recognition of the Jesus The Creator. The weekly sabbaths pointed to Jesus as Saviour and were in connection with the Temple worship during those special time during the year. But the 7th Day Sabbath of Jesus never changed. Let me say one last thing for now; and that is THE ROMAN VATICAN CATHOLIC CHURCH does say something to the world, but the world is not listening and that is that they claim that power on earth was given to them with regards to religious matters and thus they say and to prove that, they make the boatful claim that they are the ones who changed the Sabbath to sunday; exactly what was prophesied by Jesus to Daniel 7 by the little power of Papal Rome. I would suggest that most of you take the journey and watch Professor Walter Veith on this subject at clashofminds.org / or also at what's up prof on UA-cam....The Sabbath is any easy topic, but people confuse the issue when they don't understand the full picture....I would also recommend to all of you to read carefully the book "The Great Controversy"...it's a book full of biblical; historical; prophetic message about the little horn of Daniel 7; the Beasts of Revelation 13; the warning in 14 and the Harlot Mother of Revelation 17....Open your heart before you die...because only those who partake in the first resurrection will be saved....

Pastor Gino Jennings, You are very much Self Deceived, Because God in his act of Creating All what was brought into existence in Six Days in the context of Days or Time, is the same as the Time or Days what we are commanded to use to do what we have to do as Our Work; what is called the Sabbath Day on which GOD REST in Exodus chapter 20: verses 8 to 11; and the rest that the scripture speaks about in Hebrews chapter 4. Now if you continue teaching those people that Self Deceive Doctrine what you believe, and they choose to accept it; both You and them would be counted as breaking the Commandments of God, which would be committing a Sin. Will those who keep the Six Commandments what you quoted, without keeping the first FOUR, will they be Saved? If that wrong emphasis as an explanation what you are giving about those SIX Commandments should deceive those Members, My question is, Was JESUS teaching us to disregard the command with we are told about in James chapter 2: verses 10 & 11? Was the Sabbath included in scripture what you quoted in Ecclesiastes chapter 12: verses 13 & 14, and only given to the JEWS to Obey? Was JESUS confused when HE said that the SABBATH was made for MAN which meant ALL Mankind?

Powerful! Now I understand pastor Evans point! Yes, I know gino blaspheme. For God cannot rest from sin nor can our works of sin be compared to God's work of creation. And FYI, man have three works, sinful works, righteous works and dutyiful works. To earn for the family is dutiful work, we cease from that on Sabbath. Righteous works is to do good for out neighbors and worship God in singing, studying and praying, and we do that all the time. Sinful works are breaking God's law. We should cease from that all the time and on the Sabbath too. Gino, please don't be wounded in the mortar 7⃣ times.
