Traditional Tinikling is a 3-Beat; we are NOT a traditional Tinikling Team. The 3-Beat, while "traditional," is limited in terms of both steps & spins whereas my team has multiple beats and thus we can be far more creative & complex. We utilize the 3-Beat, we have a 4-Beat, we have a rhythm called the Illumin, which is a 1 & 2-1-1-1 Beat, and we have the Aquino, which is a 1-1-1-1-1 & 2-1. My team will respect traditional, but not be bound by it.
