@@jaysbostonemergencyrespons8970 The antenna it comes with is not bad. Your antenna screws on, right? That’s an SMA connector. So anything with that connector will fit, unless you get an adaptor (the most common is BNC). I have fancy antennas on my scanners an on my car but it’s not an absolute necessity.
@Squad21Photography it's definitely a learning curve . I program my own frequencies manually to my favorites. But I'm trying to hear boston from andover mass?
@ Sometikes I can hear Boston from my house in NH 70 miles away… and sometimes I can barely hear it just outside the city. They say FM stands for Friggin Magic… Have you heard of the Scanner School podcast/youtube channel? The guy that runs it does a great job going into depth about everything related to scanners.
@Squad21Photography okay okay I check them out. I'm definitely getting another antenna tho. And cang wait to do Connecticut Rhode Island and Manchester Nh. My old scanner bc1245at I just hated how everything was delayed. But this scanner sds100 is right on point

We like both New and Antique Fire engines. Most of all when they would Ding the Bell 🔔 and turned on siren 🚨 and horns. Santa 🤶 on a float. God Bless 🙌 🙏 you all. My Wife Kamie our Friend Ruby loved the parade.😊❤

@@jaysbostonemergencyrespons8970 If I had to be honest I’d recommend the SDS100, but it’s pricey. My BCD436HP is also a solid radio. The BCD325P2 is also a solid trunking radio, but you might run into some trouble with huge trunking systems like in RI and CT. Really the SDS100 is the best radio for that.
