Miller river kayaking PFD(850-900cfs?) virtual gauge!
Переглядів 458Рік тому
first time running the miller for everyone in our crew, thought it was going to be on the low end but ended up about 150% of AW recommended max! great flow! Heads up, the gauge is a virtual gauge, so not sure what the actual flow was.

Great run! Beautiful country out there!
Great run, smooth
Fantastic!
That looked amazing! Fun one to watch!
very fun! just wish it was longer!
@jeremywells4478 me too!! What a great Saturday!
what an incredible adventure! Your energy and enthusiasm are absolutely contagious. The way you captured every thrilling moment and the beautiful scenery is amazing. From the breathtaking views to the exciting activities, it feels like we’re right there with you. Can’t wait to see where your next adventure takes us
Stoked that you enjoyed it! Thank you for the great comment!😁
such great lines!
Some good, Some not so great 😆 thanks though! The firecracker definitely made it more exciting!
The only thing I recolonized were the House Rocks below the Nozzle. All the rest looked like another river. I would also say that it was running more that 2000 CFS. More like 5-6000.
It was definitely only 2k. I have a video of me running mercury/nozzle at 5500 on this channel, a very big difference between 2k and 5500!
@@jeremywells4478 That whole section has completely changed since I ran it back in the early 90's. Even Bolder Drop is no longer the same. All washed out and filled in with rock.
My friend Don Sessions scouted and first ran the Cooper back when you were in diapers. ;) His wife was "really tired" of waiting in the car while he hiked down to each section of the river to see if it could be run. Now you know the "rest of the story".
Brrrrrrrr Beautiful
Nice saves
pleasure being out there with you! it was such an amazing run
Definitely a great run! Always stoked to paddle with you!
You would do your fellow paddlers a service by including in your description that your CFS assesment is based on an innacurate virtual gauge and that this is actually what medium flows look like on the miller. Since many folks use videos for beta.
Great Idea! I will add that it's a virtual gauge, and I don't know what the actual flow is. As far as saying that it was a Medium flow, I feel like that would be a disservice, since I don't know that, considering that's the only time I've run it. I tried looking for footage of that run, and was unable to find any. Any chance you have any footage? Also, I'll show the footage to some people I know who have run it quite a bit and if they agree with your opinion, I will add that.
I took another look and found 2 videos, both appear lower, but have no indication of flow.
Looks great for sure one I’ll add to the bucket list
insane adventure <3
Looks like a little slice of Idaho. Thanks for sharing!
I need more Idaho WW in my life!
@@jeremywells4478 North Fork Payette, July 2024. Be there!
@@bfosterkayaking would love to!!!
So sick!!!
So good! Nice paddling man!
Sick. Goes even higher and becomes one rapid. Good times, miss this river.
Thought it was great at that flow! More water would be sick! Definitely planning on spending more time in there!
Every River is a gift, every wave like a kiss.
I agree 100%
so rad! really good job with the editing man!
Thanks Adam!
Sweet footage! Thanks again for taking me down!
For sure! Stoked you were able to join!
in the Nova! great vid!
That looks cool as fuck
Seems like a nice run👌 Keep it up!
Nice!
Sick!
Such a great run Jeremy, so much fun to watch you do that beautiful gem!!
Thanks Shanna! I'm super stoked!
Such a gorgeous run! Great video
Dude, that looks like such a sick run.. great vid and nice work on the pfd, you crushed it!!
Thanks Alex! It's a beautiful and exciting place! I hope to spend a lot of time in there and get it all dialed!
awesome vid!
Thank you! One of these days we'll paddle together!
great video man!
Thank you! Didn't have the cleanest lines through a couple drops, but such a fun run!
Where is the Cooper River?
@@gyne1fox just outside of cle elum wa, one of the best Washington state summer runs IMO
That run looks fun and beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
It's great! Just wish it was longer!
Great vid!
Thanks Adam!
Nice lines and video! Have you ever tried the center left line at Toby's? I recommend it when flows are under 500 cfs and the boof on the right gets boney.
Thanks Brooks! I didn't even realize there's a center line option! Do have a video running it?

Nice work out there dude! Good meeting ya
Thanks 😁 pretty stoked, such a great run! Good meeting you too!
Smooth operator! Nice lines in there.
Thanks Dan! It was awesome paddling with you!
great catch!
Awesome! Nice save!
That looks like a great level for someone to dip their toe into a section that is unbelievably intimidating to us mere mortals!
Not a bad level for a first time, but definitely think a little more water is better for a first time. 550-600cfs
@@jeremywells4478 awesome, thanks for that!
Thanks Jeremy! I love getting to see cc at different levels!
For sure! Glad you enjoyed it!
awesome! I've been wanting to get onto this section of river. So great to have people upload their adventure for the rest of us to see. Thank you :) I'm from Olympia if anyone ever needs a boating partner
Glad you enjoyed it! What stuff do you paddle in the oly area?
@@jeremywells4478 Tieton, Wenachee, Kalama, and then we head to the Deschutes, Salmon, and Rogue when we can.
I run the tilton a lot! Would be happy to get on it with you sometime! I have a strong belief that a first time on any river sets how someone feels about it, and really want everyone to have a great time! The tilton is a decent step up from all the rivers you listed. I would definitely get on the Kalama, toutle, nisqually, or any other rivers in that range to meet, if you're interested?
@@jeremywells4478 Lets do it! What's a good way to get in touch?
@beantooth Facebook messenger works pretty good.
Lots of good surf waves and waveholes at that level.
Fantastic!
Thanks buddy! Unfortunately my gopro was acting up, so missed some good stuff!
@@jeremywells4478 was that opening drop sunset falls?
Yes, the first and last shot are sunset, we did a second lap on sunset after the run.
back when I ran it at 600, I thought for sure it couldn't be run any lower haha
It was interesting!
So amazing 😘
Thanks for sharing! Nice to see how you negotiated the Last Nasty!
Nice line.
