Your Actions TODAY Influence your Decisions Tomorrow
It’s amazing how quickly children can learn new things like languages, isn’t it? Well, choices that we make become habits which influence our future trajectory. This is especially true for younger people. So it is wise to start doing the hard things today so that they become habitual in your future.

    I am the same, but I haven't found a path where I can channel the addictive energy into life sustaining investments. I am in a liminal phase, but I agree, and to successfully come out of an addiction (alcohol / drugs), you have to think in these manners as well. Meaningful actions needs to replace the addiction / empty space

      It's difficult my man. You bring up a great point, so much of the world is digitized today, so it is not easy. When you aren't working, I encourage you to not pick up your phone and allow yourself to be without electronics (like when you're cooking and eating) for a period of time. You've got this!

    If it works like any other addiction, moderation is always going to be difficult. With this specific type of addiction (technology) it is one that is for life for most of us, just because we are alive. Limiting is key in this situations, but when I try these periods of no internet that you mention, I always come back in the same cycles

    It sucks that many people are required to have an instagram for business / creative purposes in order to be seen and heard - a big source of the genuine acknowledgement is online, whether we like it or not. For this segment, I think uninstalling and reinstalling the app when needed while keeping off the feed seems like the only option

    This is a cool discussion, what do you attribute to the connection between limiting artificial dopamine and social confidence?

    • @enjoythejourney1998

      That’s a good question man! I can only speculate, honestly. Just as you form judgments based on others and their actions, I think you do the same to yourself, subconsciously. If you’re doing challenging things and not constantly “rewarding” yourself I think you become more proud of yourself and that translates into how you project yourself externally.

    WHY DOES IT SAY TWO COMMENTS IF THERE IS ONLY ONE!?!? By the way, I don't tell people I have confidence. I don't know if I have confidence or not. I just do whatever. If someone walks up to me and say hi, I say hi too and go on with my day. I don't even know if I show confidence or not. I'm just in my own world. I do know that I am bad at social interactions because I'm autistic.

    make a vid about how your looks have impacted your life, if you're tall as well you probably have a life in the top 2-5 percent in the west. im just so disillusioned w the stoic shit, its a failing movement tbh. would be interesting to hear your perspective. i believe you can not establish a "base" after it was taken from you in childhood (by trauma, lack of acceptance by the family unit). the base in this example is your agency, will, esteem, literally you. and whats one thing that is literally your somatic and sensory structure, looks ie genes, ie VALUE, how your seen and in turn how you see the world. you contextualize your internal value by bouncing off external indicators of your value (society, job, status, looks etc) not tryna rip u. just an opinion.

    • @enjoythejourney1998
      @enjoythejourney1998 9 місяців тому

      Thank you for bringing this up - it’s not ripping at all. The reality is, much of what you are saying has truth and value to it. I believe it is in our best interest to take the gifts we were given and strengthen them to maximize our potential (and the same goes for weaknesses). Life is anything but fair, as you touched on. By working towards improving aspects of our lives, we take ownership in doing the best we can with what we were given.
