I use a bullet journal, and after trying all the fancy, expensive planners, I’ve realized this works best for me. I can create any layout I want, and when I get bored of one style, I can change it up. I also keep a separate journal for memory-keeping-basically a space for anything I feel like. I add pictures, ephemera, and stickers, and it’s completely my own. This is my second time keeping planning and journaling separate, and it’s been perfect. I don’t have to stress about running out of pages before the year ends. Plus, I love that I’ll need a new bullet journal and memory journal in a few months. Starting fresh is always exciting, and since I write so much, I know I’ll go through at least two planners and probably three journals in 2025.

Great Content! I totally use a planner this way, too. It helps when you are older to remember events. Also, try supplies from Mr. Pen, as well.

In the end, it’s just a paper notebook so you can use it however you want but if you’re using it as a diary, can we just call it a diary and not a planner?

Seeing your channel for the first time. And, girl, you are right up my alley. And my daughter's too! We both don't think that there is such a thing as too many pens/pencils or stationery. I have always enjoyed stationery and so glad to see a young woman who feels the same. My craft room desk is full of pens and I am always eyeing more; hahaha. And I color coordinate too; haha. Yes on swatches for the highlighters. Have you ever used fountain pens? I like using them as well. New subscriber here.

This is how I've used planners since high school (so like late 90s).. I thought everyone done this lol.. So cute to see others doing this, It's less restrictive and more fun (in my opinion)..

This is what I started doing this year. I used to be really into planners but the past couple years they would go unused because I just didn't have much going on. But I love planners so this felt right. I'm using a Koko and Lynn planner and so far i've written in it everyday

This is how I use my planners and bullet journals. I make lists and document what happened in my day. Sometimes I do a bit of journaling, and I highlight holidays and important days with handrawn graphics or larger fun colored lettering. It's so fun to look back and see how my creativity has evolved.

There are no rules when it comes to planners! You can use them for whatever you like. Yes, I use mine to keep up with my schedule but I also use it for meal planning, budgeting, sketching, gratitude, etc. I own a planner shop so I use my own. Great video, thanks!

I started doing Daily journaling recently too and it’s streets relieving to get the things out of my head.

I like this style also. I call it memory planning 😊I usually use undated and date as I go in case I fall off.

This is also the conclusion I’ve come to. I do jot down appts in it…but for the most part, it’s a journal❤

I was so nervous on moving from a goals only planner to a dated one - but you've inspired me as I always look for a spot to write a highlight or lesson learned. Not just to-do's.

I love your suggestion and idea. I constantly struggle with what to put in my planners. I have plenty. I diy'd 95% of them but now I have to use them. I've made a few of them book journals and movie journals to keep track of the books and movies I love to read and watch.
