Hey man, I am so stinking glad that I found your channel! I’m a 42 year old guy and I’ve been playing bass for about 30 years now. For as long as I’ve been playing, it wasn’t until this year that I decided to try playing bass with a pick. I used to be one of those finger playing purists who scoffed at the idea of using a pick. (I was an asshole; what can I say?) All that being said, I needed a lot of practice to get used to holding a pick and building up speed. Your AFI videos have been absolutely crucial in training me to become someone who can play with a pick so thanks a lot homie! Your uploads are appreciated! Another good player who’s been a help to me is Pook Bidault. Between you two guys I’ve arguably learned more about playing bass this year than the previous 30 lol. You the man bro!
