You need to change them when already worn out usually you can notice a spark when brushes are already wearing out. It depends on how long you use the machine. Check after 5000 running hours

@@reYIDad ok, thx. Cause i had obe saw with worn out brushes. After i changed them with new ones, the engine burnt out.

ahh ok, depende siguro sa brand, and santa clara 18mm kasi ¾ nila, yung ginamit ko kasi undersized na yata yun kaya wala nman naging problema sa pagputol ko, if standard talaga mga wood na puputulin mo sir go for gks 18v system na para sure 🙂

i believe, every motor will suddenly stop when the brushes are already wornout sir, there's no indication at all except yung pag tigil nya pero you can check naman po regularly. However, most probably not unless 10 continuous hours daily for 1 week malamang mapudpod po talaga sya.
