This is a horrible hotel with a bad case of ecoli infestation. I stayed there a year ago was sick for a whole month lost so much weight. A year later a group of friends stayed they all got sick

Thanks for the review me and my husband wanted to make reservations but the price was so low we where thinking it my be a bump. It's nice foe the price but still undecided it's for my 60th so I want it to be great. But thanks now we know what to expect
Glad it was helpful. It you watch the third video, you can see the updated rooms. They were much better. Check it out if you have time to compare. Lifestyle rooms are also on the resort as well.

lol, it couldn’t be a net cover up or something overly exposing skin on the bottom half. I guess that is so people’s “rear ends” wouldn’t be directly touching the chair in the dining areas.

We booked for tropical but heard that they move a lot of people to confessi. If you don’t mind me asking what resort did they give you a new room to?
I stayed at the Cofresi . At first I was in an older model room at the Cofresi, then they moved me to an updated new model room at the Cofresi.

I actually did enjoy myself. Everyone I met at the resort during my stay was fun and friendly. I even went off the resort with some of them. However, the crowd did change when I was leaving and it was a different vibe. Hopefully, it will be a fun crowd when you get there or calm crowd depending on your preference.
Thank you for this video, I will be going there this summer, I was wondering which side of the resort was more appealing, the Lifestyles or the Cofresi and why. My family and I booked Cofresi but not sure if we should switch it to Lifestyles instead.
The lifestyle side is better because it has better rooms. Cofresi does have some nice rooms but we were placed in the old rooms when we first got there and had trouble. However, once they switched us to the new updated room , we were in love .
When you say they upgraded you, was it in Cofresi but to a better room or to Lifestyle all together. @@Msgetina
They put me in an updated room in Cofresi. It’s in Day 3 video. You can watch it to compare the rooms. It was a huge difference.

I was there about a month ago and had same issue with bathroom but was shower that was slow to drain, and had leak in ceiling.
I’m sorry you had to experience that as well. It was extremely annoying. Did they change your room as well?
Would you recommend this hotel for taking advantage of alcoholic drinks? In terms of partying, what time does the hotel shut down every day
The drinks were ok. The best drinks were made by the bar in the main entrance. I honestly don’t remember times but I think maybe around 12 ish. They didn’t really have any clubs mostly night entertainment or events.

Hello, yes I would recommend it. It’s a beautiful property. It was still fairly new when I went so there were not a lot of people. The food was pretty ok. I like the specialty restaurants food better than the buffet food restaurant.
@terrythomas2798 Noooooooo don't do it. Cartagena is beautiful but this resort is not it. No way it is a 5 star. You would be better off staying in the city at a hotel like Movich or The Bastion and then come here on a day pass if you can. This is a refurbished hotel and you can see that in many areas. The food is not good. Room service is inconsistent. I can go on and on. Don't do it. 😢
this resort is completely out of the way and you do not experience the real Cartagena being here. It's difficult to get cabs to take you here as well. You should stay in either the Walled City, Getsemani, Bocagrande or El Laguito . Anything else is too out of the way, pls many people get food poisoning eating here.

It was my birthday weekend and I couldn’t get anyone to travel with me so I went by myself and I had some much fun. Also, I traveled locally within the states before and it wasn’t that bad.

I was there about 3 weeks ago and stayed at the palace,we had a great time. Entertainment and food was great.
Yes, I would definitely go back! I also loved that fact that each resort was able to use the other’s amenities.
@@MsgetinaI heard other vlogers reported that if you stay at guanacaste you can't use the palace amenities but if you stay at the palace you can use the guancaste's. Going soon. Is this so?
@@reapingtheharvestministry2880Yes that’s what they say. Most of the amenities are intertwined. I went by Palace pool but I didn’t try to go in. You can still walk by the Palace side even if you can’t use the amenities.
Check out breathless Montego Bay or Dominican Republic!l. You will love it!
