    I got some of this today. Looking forward to it. They just use ghost pepper powder. I also love their scotch bonnet cheddar, but it's not terribly hot and a little sweet. Better flavor than your average pepper jack in my mind though.

    Olive oil has a relatively low burn point 375-450, why use that? Bacon grease is lower, 325 for smoke point...

  • @dhowting
    @dhowting 2 роки тому

    Use avocado oil instead of olive. It has a much higher smoke point.....olive oil is used more for its flavour not it's non-stick properties I love my evelution but my flame guards are shot after just a few years. I also got rid of the infrared grates......brand new they were awesome but over time they gunk up and become more of a fire hazzard and cleaning them is a PITA. Leave them OUT of the grill if you are cooking anything that doesn't need them as seen at the end of your video. Also leave the dividers out that are under the grates unless your cooking tow different items that need separate cooking temps

    • @thedadlifechannel6038
      @thedadlifechannel6038 2 роки тому

      It was just something I tried. I've since changed it. I took everything out and decided to try the charcoal grate upside down. It rests perfectly on the screws holding the smoker box on one side. It works better than the bricks.

    Great video. Thanks. I would add to make sure you dont mind oil dripping on the surface below the grill since it will definitely drip! I made the mistake of doing this somewhere other than the permanent location for the grill and stupidly and accidentally let it drip on my new patio. Lol. happy thanksgiving!
