Amazing powerful message. Thank you
Reach one out of ten? Good luck!
Lots of words but they’re not saying much.
A beautiful documentary, thank you. While watching, the artist portrait about the composer Don Li came to mind. Also recommended: ua-cam.com/video/VEdXtCY8WDk/v-deo.html
very cool doco !
"...challenge your creativity..."
Great perspective and expository on listening to music. Music is an emotional traveling experience one ear at a time. And by the way, this journey takes a lifetime and the fun part of the adventure is the people and the music you come across. Let’s keep creating producing engineering and blossoming!
29:35 best moment in this video XD
crappy music
extra OR dit > n' air !!! de 🎶🔉🔊❤🔥
Thank you Dave Smith. Made life with my keyboard player work. Polyphonic and memory was what changed............a big good change.
Legendary Documentary best wishes to the hole Universe
Its hard explaining anyone that have experience music in art form, This documentary explains it. Just something that comes with the instrument. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The Piano can be prepared, also, Michelangeli docet..
Was good until the pretentious, preachy stuff at the end. People can listen to my music on whatever equipment they have. If they're listening and enjoying it, I'm happy.
I agree although it’s experience as well. If you’re not open to the music at that point in your life, it will not resonate.
Wow so amazing to watch
Brilliant film❤
This is wonderful! Thank you for making this. My students will also benefit.
Sbonge 🙌🏾
This seems like a great documentary to show my middle school music production students. Does anyone know if there are any parts or words that are inappropriate for 11 - 13 year olds?
Thank you for this documentary. I immediately thought of my brother-in-law, Harold Summey Jr, who is an amazing award-winning drummer. He came to life in this beautiful documentary about drums, music, singers, and music! It is just beautiful. Thank you, thank you.
Great background ambient sounds throughout, is there a specific playlist you guys have used?
Love and respect! Wonderfully done documentary
Thank you for this. I was entertained.
Tons about making music but not so much about listening. Well played, you fooled me.
Incredible documentary. Thank you so much for this ❤
@theartoflistening Hi i'm a producer from Nigeria and i want to sample a sound i heard in this documentry
⚓️ Thanks 🌈 Well done 😎 ? Do funny hats make guitars ? Or do guitars make funny hats ?
Ots not often I run across something on the internet worthy of my time, thos Documentary is EPIC!!! I Feel that I now understamd why I am an audiophile, if in the least to be saturated in Music and Soundscape, but I already know I am not satisfied with merely listening. I know I must make music now... The efforts that have gone into producing this Documemtary are far greater than amything happening on Television, and in a few particular ways, represents what the internet is truly about. SHARING, GIVING, ENJOYING. NETWORKING.
Thank you for this.
Yes please. Go and visit all decaf plants!
Great documentary
R.I.P. Dave Smith. Your contribution to modern music has influenced countless lives, and you will be missed.
"You don´t need more, you do need better..."
Well done folks. Love it more not more of it... 😍 ...and thanks for the extra in the end ❤
Amazing documentary!! If you do music at all this speaks to you on another level!
This is the kind of video that should have 20 million views. Absolutely brilliant film making. 👏🏻 Lots of take aways here for my own music making and ways of listening. Thank you ❤🔥
One cant deny the craftsmanship demonstrated in this doco but its so western, so american and so middleclass…. No opinions about music from traditional lands like india and africa where music isnt nessassarily about ego and money and {music molecules floating around the room} (??) ….. ??…. money, big studios, computers, the cult of identity, blah blah …..?? big chunks missing out of this story welcome to american sensitivities….. i got bored
They had recordings over 100 years ago 😂😂😂 already 1:56 into the documentary, starting off with BS
damn, I felt that hard when he says what I really need is the manual right now to work this thing.
damn the drummer's room is really live, it was way different sound then the ones before it.
Ok. Now go speak to cevin key
7:03 Pianos ARE adjustable: John Cage’s prepared piano.
💛
Thank you
My mandolin ❤❤
