We were blessed to have Heather and Wayne visit us from Florida for a brief but awesome time exploring! Cannon Beach, Long Beach, and the Olympic Peninsula. Ruby Beach is fantastic!

We love going back to Cape Disappointment State Park along the coast, and we drove up the coast to Leadbetter State Park today. Drove through the tiny historic town of Oysterville. Hope to get some pics next time we’re there!

Our version of a biathlon today as we biked 7 miles and hiked 3.5 miles at Cape Disappointment….again! It’s just so beautiful here and the hikes are great and a bike path right along the Pacific!

Beautiful views from the top of the Astoria Column and park. Also a nice 2 mile hike right next to it called Cathedral Tree trail. The bridge from Washington into Astoria is intimidating at first, but we’ve crossed it many times now to go get supplies.

Got out today and explored a little at Cape Disappointment and another National wildlife refuge. The fog was intense but was really cool on the coast. We are enjoying the Pacific North West and its beauty!

We decided to try our hand at workamping this summer in the Pacific Northwest.So far it has been hard work, but we are enjoying it.This is such a beautiful area on the coast. We have seen lots of bald eagles, peacocks, black tail deer, and elk so far!
