Small Fabrication shop owner in Tucson, Arizona. Welding, anything with Lasers, design and 3D modeling is my jam. I am a IBEW journeyman wireman welder and i travel the country a lot. I own Co2 lasers, Fiber lasers, and a few 3D printers. I am always tinkering, working, or outdoors fishing / camping.
Ryobi 40v Earth Auger Unboxing and use.
In today's video: We unbox a Ryobi 40v earth auger from Home Depot to test it out, and us it on our jobsite for digging fence posts, as well as for a solar shade we are putting up arumd a customers pool. We bought the kit that includes a battery and charger.

what size are the posts? 2x2 or 3x3? trying to do the same thing, what welding equipment are you using or recommend for welding these square metal tubes? the horizontal squared tubing are the 1x1 right?
Nice build, what were you using to cut that square tubing with? seemed pretty efficient
That’s the Milwaukee m18 metal circular saw. Works very well for smaller stuff. I also recommend the large m18 saw as well. It just eats through the steel without question.
@@Oriongresham I am ordering this tool now but you didnt put a link! Is there a welding rig you recommend thats not so expensive? $4,500? jeez...I am only going to use it to build this metal fence around the property... is there a cheaper option? I am guessing that $4500 machine is for bigger projects as well?

Also learn how to dig a hole. You're supposed to wiggle it as you go and go in and out of the hole to prevent stalling. Seriously don't make videos if you suck.

This machine has been excellent. No hiccups or problems since day one. My remote has started to deteriorate however, the battery in it is dying very fast and the micro usb is not holding up very well. Are you still waiting on your order?
Only trickle charge the battery or replace the battery if not holding a charge . You will damaged the PC board .
Warning …. Do not jump start that unit . You blow pc boards . I know I replaced a few . $2.000 just for the pc boards
Once the machine is shutdown via the remote, does the panel on the machine turn off as well or does it remain on? is it possible to operate this machine exclusively from the remote?
Yes once you shut it down from the remote the machine powers off as well. I leave mine on auto in the back of my truck and almost exclusively use the remote. I can’t say about the battery drain, because I use mine daily but I have not yet had any issues.
Man. Glad I bought my Trailblazer EFI when I did. Paid around $7,600 with 50 ft welding leads. That would run me $10,600 today. I looked up the prices and gasped. This Bidenflation is killing us. I hope mine holds up cuz I don’t know what I’d do if it died. Find another line of work I guess. I’m guessing most of the price increases happened in the last year. Cuz I bought a Miller Multimatic 255 around this time last year. Paid about $3,445 for that machine. It’s $4,809 now configured the same way with the single tank running gear. Insane!!!

So, they delivered the new welder to you never having started it and without installing the exhaust pipe. I can tell that because you put 12.1gallons of gas in a 12 gallon tank and the operator’s manual was still in the engine compartment. DUDE, you need to find a different distributor!

Amazing. I have a couple hundred hours on it now and its never skipped a beat. I use it constantly at multiple elevations here in AZ. I have now coupled it with a suitcase and i have never looked back.

Whats is the bar that hold your welder ?
It’s a bar i picked up from a LOVES. It’s a expandable bar with a ratcheting end to make it tight. It does very well but my welder is also ratchet strapped through the pallet.

Same setup I run. Picked up a remote from mg welding and it made it alot nicer. I got mine a few months before they announced the wireless remote version

dont jump start it off the truck without disconneting the welder battery. from what i've heard it will mess the board up. but i've also heaard miller added a fuse so now the new one idk dont burn out ?
