I remember doing this glitch in school back 2002~2003 with my friends. As far as I remebered it does not work in Yellow or Green. Only in Red/Blue. I was one of the most experienced pokemon players in school, so I usually would help others to do the Mew glitch, MissingNo and the EXP glitch. That were great times. Pokemon and Yugioh all day...

Gen 1 is easier if you have the original cartridges and a N64 with one of the Stadiums. You can play on triple speed with the GB-tower and you can use the In-Game lab to organize your boxes and (given you have two controller and transferpaks) to trade as well. That said, I see that this method is not feasible for most players nowadays which leads me to ABSOLUTLY recommend emulators for Gen 1 and 2. If you happen to have a modded 3DS you can easily transfer safe games between emulator and the VC versions (and with the right hardware even back to original cartridges). I did my first portion of my OG dex and my Master Dex (which are funnily enough two diffrent concepts) on my actual Red and Blue with my N64 and it wasn't as tedious than my previous try on Virtual Console. Right now I'm on the worst leg (again, as I did the Master Dex back in 2022): Gen 4. These games are SO SLOW. SO SLOW. On the upside I set up Cute Charm Glitch this time. Being flodded by shinies is fun after all. Also, Gen 2 has a system to transfer Pokémon between boxes in a somewhat similar way than Gen 3 (just without the graphical interface)

Normally I believe this called the *”Professor Oak’s Challenge”* or the *”Professor Oak’s Dex”* *I have a Living Dex, and will occasionally Breed stronger PK’MN in the newer games//whichever game is easier to Obtain those PK’MN.* (I got all the Starters Unlocked in the BBA Terrarium and then moved all my Monsters from HOME & GO and bred all the Hidden Ability Starters, etc.)

For generations 3-5 I did my own origin marks using the symbols they have when you can add them using the PC storage system

01:15:28 If you want to follow Birdkeeper Toby's challenge to the letter you may want to catch Pokémon that can evolve in later games in their original game. For example: a Stantler from Silver that you will evolve in a Wyrdeer in Legends: Arceus. Or even better: a Stantler that you got from Colosseum so that it has the purify ribbon and the Mt. Battle ribbon and THEN evolve it later in Legends: Arceus.

07:26 You could also send Eevee to a generation 2 game, breed it there, and send it back. This could be done with the starters, fossils, and hard to get Pokémon such as Porygon as well without having to glitch anything. That way your Pokémon will still be registered as coming from Kanto when you send them up to Bank and Ultra Sun (for in case you care about giving them some need ribbons).

I am abke to hack any pokemon I want in but I always prefer to catch them all in the game anyway. Might actually give this challenge a shot

I always felt bad in the Battle Royale in Gen 7. It shoulda been such a slam dunk of a game mode, just a multi person vs battle where last man standing wins, but they added extra unnecessary rules, and because of all the effects in the background it would always lag on the 3DS

Fun fact: if you bring a pokemon from the GBA/GameCube games into Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire and show it to the game director in the Game Freak building he gives you a special certificate featuring your Pokemon to put up in your Secret Base

It’s not possible to transfer it unless you use the 8F glitch to make it into a legit Mew with the GF OT and TID. You can also make it shiny

I'm almost done with my living dex and I just started collecting a few months ago. Didn't bother to get every form, but have all the relevant ones. Just missing those god damn mythicals, Marshadow, Zeraora, & Zarude.

I am going for a complete Gen 3 Dex in Pokemon Ruby (since that was my first Ever pokemon Game) and i have the Distributions on my SD Card for my Analogue Pocket, and i have a spare GBA SP which i then use as the “Reciever”. I am so Happy that it is Perserved, so we are able to get event pokemon that otherwise Would have been Lost to time (or costed you $5000+ cuz of a Distribution Cartridge from Gamestop)!

Anyone know what discord server would give out zarude to avoid it like the plague? ;D It sure would suck for those who weren't graced by Nintendo to be able to achieve a mythical they distributed in the weirdest way possible. Edit: I forgot to mention, but I've also been doing exactly this the last month!!! I'm so glad I found your video, it gave me the boost. Currently in Platinum - I'm doing a twofold of re-experiencing these stories I haven't played through in years and also finally going into the thing I love doing most in Pokemon games: Collecting them all.
