Guys dont buy it. It is emnensely loud. The neigbours are able to hear this bloody thing. I innacurately asumed that it would have an element of churn mechanical chilling centric silence instead i got a very loud horsepowered blending machine. The cooling element entails the operator freezing the content or freezing the cups before use. Ive packed this thing up and put it in my car ready to be dropped off at the local Salvos here in Melbourne Australia. A very frustating experience ive effing chucked $300+ at this thing only to recieve a screaming mechanical kid......and it screams for 4 minutes. Save ya money. Just get a godamn cheap blender. Stupid Thing is Overated. Im feeling pretty angry.

I’ve been watching a few videos on how to make hotdog chili since my husband and I have recently had a revival of having hotdogs for dinner once in a while lately. I forgot how good they can be. Love lots of crunchy sweet onions! But I also remember trying Coney Island dogs in Detroit years ago on a trip to see probably fellow sort of Canadian Neil Young, and think hotdog chili would be a great thing to try making myself as well. I like how this gentleman does the guy thing and breaks out a power tool to mix the meat. I’m totally going to do that as well! Pop the mixture into my KitchenAid stand mixer - take this baby up a notch! I like his basic recipe too but I will tweak it a bit, incorporating some other ideas from other people’s recipes across the great U.S. of A.

I don’t think so. The blade “shaves” off the frozen block as it slowly moves down. I don’t think the processor would get the same creamy results without melting it. Just my thought. Let me know if you try it.

Buy the del monte deluxe gold pineapple in the black labeled can. It is the best. Also take a butter knife and run it around the sides before you respin. If something isnt milk based you can add a few room temp drops of water to help with the respin. Or leave the container on the counter for a lil bit to thaw before processing.

Thanks for posting! This is the 2nd time I made it. I'd make it at least 8 hrs before serving, for it's best the next day. I subbed a garlic press full of both garlic and sweet onion for the powders, along with homemade mayo and fresh lemon juice and Celtic sea salt for the seasoned salt, as we must follow a strict whole foods diet. FABULOUS. That is to say, it's as close as I can get to Ridgewood. ;) And, yes, quality cheese is a must. ...I wish I had their slaw recipes, using one for eating as a side with saltines and a different one with pickle for topping the sandwiches, not to mention their beans. Yum! Regardless, Ridgewood remains my favorite restaurant in the Tri-Cities.
