    whether india ever becomes stronger than china or not is not the main point. the main point is as long as our white masters shower heaps of fake praises on us we are on cloud nine. rest is seconday. what greater glory than times magazine, new york times, washington post giving fake praises to us. what greater glory than any u.s. president says india is better. that's all we need 😂😂😂😂😂

    Vietnam, Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan and some of Asean Country including Singapore altogether are a greater picture of the Confucius Culture Circle. They share the same working culture which is hardworking, consistent, precise, obey (etc: the rules and regulations of the companies). etc The essence of their success is actually the 5000 years culture.

    competition is and is not the key to development. What's more important is that the government should invest more in R&D of key sectors and that's what china did in the last four decades. Without the protection and support of government, it's amlsot impossible for a nation to have its own core competitiveness. Competion is just like exercise which can bring you improvement. But if you just go to the battlefield without proper preparation, it's suicide.

    India greatst obstacle is not china . if india have to find some one to over take then germany or janpan would be next closer ( you have to over take no.3 before no.2) . But think about it careful is india's greatest enemy is itself ? is it better to become more hygienic and every house have toilet and no rapist and less corruption more import than over taking germany japan china usa ? is it a necessary step to acheive before it over take other naturally if you can do better in these area ? One more thing . Have you heard china challeneging Jpan and german or USA before china reach today or you think china would be better if USA + japan start to block china 20 yrs ago ? or did china try to work and learn from them even when USA japan try to block china ?

    I have been following Prof Kishore Mahbubani's video on UA-cam for a number of years, and have great respect for his views and deep insight of today's geopolitical situation. But I have to disagree with him on 2 points he brought up in this particular forum : 1) the high income levels of Indian ethnic in US. I don't have actual statistics but from what I can gather, many of those Indians in US are professionals, working as doctors, lawyers, IT professionals, CEOs of some of the biggest American companies. Hence their income levels are high compared with others. So it's not a very fair or realistic comparison. 2) India will be the biggest economy in the world. I am not saying it's impossible. The potential is there but the way Prof Mahbubani put it, it is as if India grow while others remain stagnant. I agree that India will grow, per capital income will grow, but China which has about the same population will also grow further. So unless some major disruption happened in or to China, it's quite difficult to overtake China. I saw the reports from Standard Chartered Bank, and I tend to agree that India may overtake US, probably by 2050, to become the 2nd biggest economy. But to overtake China is another different story all together. In a way, I tend to agree with Prof R Rama Kumar's view that in this forum, some of Prof Mahbubani's views are too over simplified.

    I concur strongly with Prof. Kishore that Indian media are "atrocious" and antagonist towards. By beating up Indian sentiments against China is doing a great disservice in mending relations between India and China. But this scenario has in part caused by adversarial stance of the Indian government towards China. The Indian government is always taking China as a challenge, rather than an opportunity for economic collaboration and development. Look at draconian measures taken the Indian government towards Chinese apps and enterprises like the recent checks on Realme and Oppo and you will know how anti-China it is.

    To say tht India's economy will be more powerful than that of China is more or less a wishful thought. To catch up with China economically, India needs major changes, if not overhauls, to its social, political, bureaucratic, governance and education systems. But to do so is a mammoth task for the Indian government considering its social and cultural fabrics, and historical and economical backgrounds.

    "If Indians cannot get rid of their inherent thinking mode, they will lose development opportunities." - - - Singapore Founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew India’s historical path to independence from colonial rule is very different from China’s realization of national independence and liberation through revolution. After independence, India did not have a decolonization education, India has not made real social changes either. on the contrary, it almost inherited the legacy left by the colonists. . At the same time, India is a country where politics and religion are integrated, but religion is ubiquitous to influence all aspects of India, and it has brought reform and development resistance to India's modernization process. India’s own biggest problem is the lack of a truly strategic leader. The Modi government has now been kidnapped by Indian nationalism. In order to consolidate its dominant position, the Bharatiya Janata Party government will rely more on nationalist tools. In this case, the religious and ethnic conflicts in India will only become more intense.Similar to India’s own religious contradictions, caste system, etc. are structural problems faced by India. If India does not carry out a radical social change from the top down, India's development path will be full of twists and turns and difficulties.

    The rise of India should be welcomed, just as the rise of other Asian, African, Middle Eastern, Latin American and other developing nations. For India, the leaders and people should be more rational and objective. A good dose of humility is also very good as it motivates you to do better. The problem with India is that they can be manipulated using emotions and hubris. They are currently feted with nice flattering words of being an incipient or neglected superpower etc but the fundanmentals are still weak. Look critically at your history of how India was colonized by the British through divide and rule. Each rajahs or sultans was used against each other because of greed, pride and vanity.

    Indians are too obsessed and perhaps jealous of China’s success. India has a lot of potential but most of talented Indians decide to leave India and migrate to other countries for good. That’s a pity. Indian government needs to do something to bring back these talents from overseas.

    • @nmew6926
      @nmew6926 2 роки тому

      The US appoint one more Indian CEO in the high tech industry encouraging more Indian brains to migrate. Both Western and India like to compare the number of Indian and Chinese CEOs. Nobody in China cares of course.

    • @ParkerAt941
      @ParkerAt941 2 роки тому

      Indeed the problem of India, is Indians are too obsessed with their "success" in the USA, and thus to claim they have "more" talents than other people. They further abuse such a false belief, for instance, the many H1-B visa fraud cases in the USA. Don't need to elaborate more. I believe if Indians are smart enough to figure a way how to best develop their country, and yet, sure by abating others, will not simply work. No doubt China found a way in it's 70 years development. There are many inherited or learnt things contributing to its success. On the other hand, India may or may not have all of those things helping China to progress. It's impossible to compare two vectors of factors from each country. Simply there is no simple answer one way or the other.
