      @heidisdiy6888 Рік тому

      Yep, sorry forgot to mention that in the video! I’m using a 3 mm hook indeed. But more important is to match your hook to your yarn and that how loose or tight loops you tend to make. :)

    • @MsSarahKelly
      @MsSarahKelly 10 місяців тому

      I found using a 4mm hook can be the best, but I’ve also used a 3.75mm and it worked well too. Like she said it depends on the yarn. But doing the chain slightly looser, in my own experience is more effective and makes the rest of the project look better. So I sometimes have done the chain with a hook that is just the tiniest bit bigger than the one used for the rest of the project.

    If you would like to avoid extra steps and sewing on a clip: Follow the pattern down the first side. At the last chain, instead of doing 14 DC, do 7. Slip stitch to the same chain. Chain 25. Slip stitch back to the same chain again. Do the remaining 7 DC. This puts the pacifier loop on that end. Continue back up that side to the starting chain. Do the 7 additional DC and slip stitch. DO NOT TIE OFF. Single crochet around your pacifier clip as many times as needed for the style of clip you use, then slip stitch back to the same spot and tie off. Weave in ends.

    • @heidisdiy6888

      Just guessing here as I don’t really know what causes curling. Maybe your stitches are very tight. Also too many stitches may cause tightness. Try making less double crochets in the circle.

      Sorry! I didn’t see your comment earlier! The official recommendation is the length shouldn’t exceed 22cm. You can easily adjust the length by making less rows. The length of a row depends on your yarn and hook. I’m using here a 3mm hook. Hopefully this helps you!

      This one is 24cm with a clip (8 circles in total). In this project we work on multiples of 6 meaning we make 6 chain stitches per circle in the beginning. Plus 3 chain stitches for the last circle. So if you want to make a shorter version, make less chain stitches in the beginning. E.g. for seven circles you’ll need to chain 39 (6*6+3). For six circles you’ll need to chain 33 (5*6+3). Hopefully this helps you!
