The Gold Gem shop is to me a flat-out F2P lifesaver as I can buy all the legendary Cookies, the Legendary Pets, the Legendary Treasures, and even the Legendary Cookie Magic Candy ingredients there, plus getting all the Gold Gems in the first place is actually kind of easy, at least for me. :3)
