At 22, I joined the U.S. Army. That was the beginning of my transformation. After 4.5 years, I got out and became a R.N. for 25 years..... My psychology instructor prepared me by saying, "You don't get to pick your patients. You will get all races, genders, socioeconomic levels, mean, nice, smart, dumb, sane, crazy, ..... ALL types. Your job is to provide the best care you can to every person you care for." So I did. That completed my transformation. I firmly believe that skin color only determines the strength of sunscreen a person should wear. Now.... To answer your question. You have to ask what his reasoning was for bringing up the negative past? It would be bad to ignore it. It is important to see where we've been in order to avoid past mistakes and improve the future. If his motive was to harbor resentment, bitterness, to encourage others to be negative.... I think that's bad. If it was to focus on how far we've improved and to advance improvement.... then it was good that he reminded viewers of the past. I am not in a position to tell HOF Reggie Jackson to "Get over it." If he's still bitter and negative, it is understandable. Good? Probably not. Expected? Not necessarily because many others were treated much MUCH MUCH worse who don't harbor resentment and hate. But, people are human, and everyone reacts to injustice differently. I like good things. I like good people. I like improvements and efficiency. I hope my views aren't offensive. God will send a word hold 0n you are close to what l promised you and l am about to do it. He does not tell us when exactly because He wants us to trust Him .
