That doesn’t look like the right part… unless they updated it?
make sure to burb the coolant system multiple times under next time you check it you see no air bubbles, as well as doing it 1) with the bleeder screw and 2) with a funnel kit at the same time
they got rats out in the country
Depin the connector and put new wires in the pins then put it back together. No solder needed.
Do you have to time the primary chain also?
@@mikelira6243 I only did the two that go to the heads because that is all I took off
I can't even get the chain on..wtf. I've done a few of timing belts before but why is it that hard? There's a tensioner for that.😮
Can you share the part number, please. I am having the same issue and my husband and I are going to attempt to replace it ourselves
By-Pass Hose - Toyota (16260-F0010)
You replacing the oil pump too? I’m having trouble on there the oil pan it’s smaller than others making it harder to take off the 4 bolts 😫
@@FranciscoHernandez-dq7rf no I didn’t replace it.
Absolutely perfect
it will be an interesting build
What the name of that part
@@selagipedebone1427 oil cooler/ filter housing.

I just got this code. It's really expensive to fix at toyota
@@DeliaChaney just order the part at Napa and do it yourself or have a local mechanic
Just replaced the head gaskets on mine and it’s fine …go for it
How much would something like this cost for a 98 4runner ?
Dang id love to put this on my 98 toyota 4runner
The arrows on the middle sprocket don’t really matter as long as you don’t remove the oil pump and crank chain you will be in tdc off the dot then just line the cams up and throw chain on
Dang. I didn't realize it was burned that bad from the video right after the fire dept left.
@@greglackey5081 it is pretty bad. The top strut rubber bushing is melted on the driver side and the joint caulk on all the seams is melted. The seats and door panels and rubber around the doors. The wiper mechanism is all melted. The new S&P radiator melted. So basically I have a button load of work to do and a wheel barrow full of money to spend.😭
Did you have both chains off when aligning the arrow on sprocket and the dimple on lower cam area ? Can you share an image if the instructions you used?
I hope that everyday before you start working on those projects as a retired man that you think about and it bothers you that I'm still working at NASA.
@@greglackey5081 it does bother me. I need to get me a Wilson volleyball just to have someone to talk to.
Cool project.
I hope the VR6 runs well. I like the engineering of those motors.

I did this job yesterday the most difficult part is getting to the 2 screws for the bracket
How long does it take to replace the coolant bypass valve An do I need to by two Cause on the 2020 rav there are two I have the 2019 rav adventure sport package
@@susanthornberg2629 I have 2019 rav4 LE and all the ones I've seen has 2 also... however it's the one with the white clip that need to be replace and has the electrical clip attached
Junk it😂
You would think so. It may take a while now that I’m retired and don’t have as much money to play around with but I plan to return it to the road with a different running gear and newer or home built dash.

nice looking samurai , i wanna ask if you recomend going yj spring; ruf or this one you did it . for improving the ride cuality for a dayly rig ?
What’s the part # for the hose? So it includes the gaskets for the upper intake as well? How is yours holding out?
a.co/d/0dCyAA1
Holding up just fine
The part# for the hose which you replaced as well please
I just tried it, still didn’t work to charge my dead battery. Tried it on my wife’s good battery and it worked. So., it still seems it needs 80 percent charge which is dumb. I need my dead battery charged!
Smart! This is what I’ll do. My battery is dead and won’t charge at all
Thanks for your video. Have you guys found a good source for a replacement amp meter? The one in my charger doesn't work, so I've been verifying with a multimeter each time I use it.
Very creative-nice work 👍
Thanks for the video sir, I love this model of samurai, I have one, which I tasteful modified, with a 75 Mazda 2.0,radiator was on the wood and a side truck style exhaust.... I would love to build another 2 lol. Imagine have 47 samurai I would call them THE 47 RONIN 😂
How did you remove the crankshaft pulley?
You gotta stick a rod into the bolt hole, and use a wheel puller to push on that rod, instead of the front of the shaft. The shaft only has a bolt hole, instead of the shaft hole going all the way through like a old small block chevy
No
Thank you gentlemen. Awesome hack!! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
I suspect it is about ease and speed of assembly at the plant.
It is all assembled before the engine is installed. It is easy to do without the car. It took me way too long to do but I’m finished
@@rustysgarage Same here it took me waay too long to this job but I finally got it done. The dealer wanted 9 hundred dollars for this job... I spent 200 in total.
I see it right there, thanks Rusty
Junkyard Junk it its garbage 🗑️ a motorcycle motor in a bump buggy 🚗😊
😂😂 to some these are all junk.
cool video mate, I guess you can watch some of my videos for ideas on what have done with my buggy. New seats maybe the best and cheapest option maybe pull some from a car that has some front seats that would work then add waterproof seat covers, on one of my builds I removed the rear leaf springs and added fox 2.0 air shocks filled with about 50PSI of air which was enough air to hold up the rear. My buggy has front and rear coilovers now but I am surprised how light the springs actually are I run 125/125 lb springs as there is not much weight in my rear end I dont even carry a spare tyre.
Thanks for the info!
What bump stops do you off roaders use?
